I wonder if we'll actually see it. I'd bet he's better at it than Saquan.

Micah Parsons is one of the most dynamic athletes in the NFL.

With that in mind, it's not out of the question that he could play multiple positions at the highest level.

The defensive superstar was recently spotted at Cowboys practice taking snaps as a running back. He was asked if this eyebrow-raising practice routine had any possible validity moving forward.

I'm sure Parsons could do a lot of things on a football field, but he's playing where he is needed - defense.

Pollard, Zeke, and Davis can handle the RB position, and none of them can do what he does, defensively.

That would be one of the dumbest moves ever to get him injured and shorten his career playing RB. He’s already getting beat up with everything he’s doing on defense. We’re lucky we didn’t lose him last Sunday to an injury.

It won't happen, but if Parsons ends up taking snaps at RB, someone needs to be fired....

I disagree.

I'm kind of like. Well, yeah . . . in trash time, if we're up 24 points with 8 minutes left, I kind of want to see this.

Or even more, if you're not just trying to sell more tickets, if we're down 17 with 8 minutes left. Why not?

Keep him at DE. That position has a lot of longevity. RB and LB are literally the worst in terms of longevity.
No one ever mentions this and it makes sense. Many often say he’ll get worn down at end.

Though, I really like him blitzing up the middle occasionally. He’s coming so fast from there the QB panics because he can see what’s going to happen.

Satisfying our curiosity isn't nearly a good enough reason to risk injury or wear on his body any more than is already there.

Silly thread for anything based in reality.

If you like spitballing wild hypotheticals and never-happens...please continue.

Hey, how about Micah on a triple reverse? (now watch Jerry do it)

Exactly, if Parsons tore an ACL playing running back every offensive coach should be fired on the spot. No Micah, no chance of winning in the playoffs. No disrespect to Dak or offensive players but Micah is the engine, identity, and personality of this team.

Yeah this will be interesting you know Micah wants some snaps at running back in a game.
We also know how much Jerry would love all the media on every sports talk show to be talking about this.

I could very much see it happening at some point because the two most influential people in the franchise at this point would both benefit from it happening.

I don't think he would be getting five or eight carries a game but they could bring him in as a novelty or a decoy every once in a while and it would gain some media attention which Jerry loves.

Micah is an old school football player he wants to play it's going to be hard to keep him down.

He will view that he has earned the right to play whatever he's capable of playing on the team.

I fear for him getting hurt constantly because he plays with such a fury at no matter what position they put him at.

All those people who dissed LVE last year, for telling Micah he doesn't have to make every play should pay heed.

Parsons would be dynamic at RB. He is already used to dragging 320lb OL on nearly every play when they are draped around him on his way to the QB.
He could drag DL for 10 yards easily.

Short yardage FB. Or slip him out in open field with a quick pass. I would not want to tackle him. Lol.

He probably would be an outstanding RB but would you want to risk our best defensive player and pass rusher to play RB? He’s beginning to look worn out with the role he has on defense and has suffered several nicks this season including this past Sunday. He would be completely beat up and wouldn’t be as effective on defense if we gave him snaps at RB. He’s having to take breaks on the sidelines every few plays as it is to get a breather. It would be a great opportunity for opponents to injure him so we lose him on defense. I can’t imagine the Cowboys would be foolish enough to risk him at RB.
