Parsons on lack of sacks

The Cowboys didn’t even have a single QB hit on Gardner Minshew. The team has gone sackless in two of their last three games. Our sack totals have declined night and day compared to the first half of the season. A lot of excuses/reasons are being made for the reduction in sack numbers. Injuries and QBs getting rid of the ball quicker are part of the reasons. Another big reason is focusing on stopping the run and not being so sack happy. We have improved some against the run.

Micah's body is not built to play DE every snap. He is only @ 240 Lbs

100%.this is why he is fading 2 seasons in a row while typically premier pass rushers are racking up sacks against tired olinemen late in the season.

DQ hardly blitzes,either we get to the Qb rushing 4 or we are screwed.imo he needs to blitz more going forward.

They also run too many stunts when the QB is releasing quickly. By the time they are in the backfield the ball is long gone. I also don’t understand what Parsons was doing on the last Philly drive. He kept rushing to the inside when he could have had a better shot to go outside.

Losing Brown I think has caused some issues I also think teams come into the game with the mindset of running and getting the ball out quicker. Cowboys are still bringing a lot of pressure but ball is getting out faster, Philly had 4th down around the 20 with game on the line but QB had little time make an accurate throw. As for the CB Cowboys have some raw talent opposite Diggs who are just now getting their feet wet. I'll be interested in seeing how they progress moving forward.

I haven’t trusted Joseph since he walked through the door. He continues to meet my expectations, which were rock bottom to begin with.

Not the most positive attitude from him. Hey Micah, if you aren't going to be a complete linebacker in this league, you have to regularly get to the QB, not necessarily sack him, but you need to be affecting his decision making and make him throw on your terms not his.

The way QBs are getting rid of the ball so quickly you can get burned blitzing. You have to be selective picking your blitz opportunities. One of the big problems is we’re light upfront and we’re starting to wear down. Parsons being neutralized has really affected our pass rush. He’s not nearly as effective as he was earlier in the season. He also looks worn down.

He is lined up at RDE/ROLB all the time versus last year when he was in multiple spots. It is easier to game plan him with chippers and run right at him which takes his stamina and drive as you have seen the Jonesboys have issues stopping the run.

People talk about LT and rightfully so. But nobody was running against Harry Carson and Gary Reasons at MLB, and Jim Burt at NT. He needs DT to cover him up and protect him more on run plays. That will lead to more sack production.
