Parsons or Overshown. choose one

Just ignore differences in position, responsibilities and forget that the Cowboys are likely to resign both players at some point. Just hypothetically, if you had to choose one or the other, who would you pick? To me it's a no-brainer. I'm picking Overshown.

I love Overshowns drive and mentality. Micah is more talented but Overshown can be a leader.

Anyway, Parsons.

He is one of the best pass rushers in the league. I like Overshown a lot, but he is also historically injury prone.

Parsons won’t be worth the near $40 million per season he’ll be asking for. He’ll be lucky to come up with 8 sacks this season. We’ve probably seen the best of him. If Overshown can stay healthy, he might end up being the better overall player.

The sample size is too small right now on Overshown, but he has looked impressive.

Parsons is a generational talent but he has yet to establish the consistency the great defensive players have.

I hope that changes once he returns.

Based on this season's results (and only this season), Overshown has been more productive for our defense than Micah has.

I've said it for over a year now, I'd trade Parsons for draft picks, he's not worth the money he'll demand and just not the difference maker in big games, dominant at times against inferior opponents but against playoff teams, you barely hear his name..

If we are ignoring contract situations and just focused on picking a player it's Parsons and its really not even close. Now if we are factoring in all the outside BS then give me Overshown and Ill trade Parsons for a boatload of picks and free up my cap for the next 5 years.

We're going to be fortunate to have both. If I could only keep one, I'd be looking at what helps in the long run via potential trade. Parsons is a generational talent but fades at the end of the season. We don't have enough info on Overshown yet but things are looking good so far. With only a couple of games on Overshown, it's silly to choose.

Believe it or not I was going to make this post, but it was too early for it. Hands down right now, Overshown has been the better player for us, may be the best player on the defense
