Parsons or Overshown. choose one

I like O’s potential and talent but I need more than a couple of games to determine which one I’d pick.

I will say if he continues to grow and get better he’s going to be a top flight LB in the league.

Just ignore differences in position, responsibilities and forget that the Cowboys are likely to resign both players at some point. Just hypothetically, if you had to choose one or the other, who would you pick? To me it's a no-brainer. I'm picking Overshown.

Parsons, not even close

The only way you choose Overshown is if you're GM'ing and want to pickup some premium picks and save some money. Otherwise, it's not even a discussion.

Im not on the bash Micah train, however, i dont like hes played out of position. But i think Overshown plays for the love of the game and Micah thinks business like a certian CB we know.

I would trade Parsons, again, not for spite or hate, but because Dallas put us in this situation and look to draft some guys. If nothing else, i would rather take all the money that would go to Parsons and spread it around and keep some players happier. I could be WAY wrong on that part, the math and need, vs talent and all that, but id rather see the money go to more than 1. I hated that Dak got the contract, but we are past that now. PErsonally i feel we are done until we move past Dak, but its the Cowboys, mediocrity is our goal.

Let's not get the anointing oil out just yet on Overshown. He has flashed for sure but let's see a season or two first. Parsons for me currently.

The sample size is too small right now on Overshown, but he has looked impressive.

Parsons is a generational talent but he has yet to establish the consistency the great defensive players have.

I hope that changes once he returns.

There's nothing embarrassing about asking a hypothetical. I identified this thread as such at the very beginning. Really, I'm basically asking which player you like more. Not too complicated and no one is compelled to participate.

Yeah a little too early to declare Overshown as all-world. Now talking "knucklehead-itis"? It seems like Overshown is not a "me-me-me" guy. So he has the lead there, at least so far but that's judging the person more than the player on the field.

New system, not allowed to free-lance as much, so I understand the drop-off this year.

I do think Micah is an amazing football player but I also think he's taken the cheese of all the praise people have given him and that's a shame because he could probably be even better than he already is.

Overshown is definitely on the right trajectory. Hopefully he stays healthy.

As far as paying Parsons? I'd honestly look for a good trade while he's in his prime but that's just me. This team has a lot of needs.
