This has always been Jerry........he has always bonded with his players but that can be good and bad.
This is one of the reasons why Michael Irvin said that "Jerry is one of us." Jerry knows how to throw away his check book and level out with his players. He took off his tie, unbuttoned his shirt and walked down Borbon Street with a drink in his hand with all the peons. Tell me another billionaire who will do that.
Coach Pop from the Spurs doesn't know how to relate to urban players like Michael. Or former Spur Stephen Jackson, who was from Oakland. He said on TNT on the post-game show that Pop doesn't know how to relate to urban players, which is why he's been drafting cultured players from other countries for many years now. Urban players need that extra love and guidance since they might not have gotten it growing up in the streets.
That's probably the only thing I like about Jerry because he sucks as a GM!
