Parsons took snaps from 8 different position during week 1

LOL....that would drive any offensive coordinator crazy. Now add Overshown impact/speed..........

There are 42 more to come Hawk, Zimm has a loaded deck of cards, and MP will become the Defensive Leader/Captain that has been the missing element.
Young players like Overshown and Kneeland are feeding off of his energy and its already evident.

They need to figure that out.......Some fans blame Parsons for quitting or dogging it but I don't believe that. To be honest, most players, especially defensive will say they are not as effective by the end of the season from wear and tear and/or nicks and bruises. But Parsons goes against players weighing 40-60lbs more the majority of snaps, so it's bound to take a toll by the end of the season. Bottom line IMO, he needs to be one a snap count at certain positions. Yes move him around but be smart with the impact it is costing him at the end of the season.
100% believe he just gets exhausted after 17 games being mostly on the DL. My hope along with those who want him moved around is it helps keep him fresh late in the year.

This is what we like to see. But what really matters is keeping Parsons effective late in the season into the playoffs.
Too me I think the answer there is more limiting snaps than moving him around. Put a pitch count on him especially when you play a bad team and get a lead but even last week there was no reason he was in there at all in 4th qtr

This may sound odd but last week I found myself wishing the offense would hurry and get off the field ( with a score of course) so I could watch the defense.........crazy huh? lol

THIS is smart...... you are saying better than I tried in another post (lol).

Fully agree, but there’s another factor….and I’m not trying to knock Parsons at all…..he wants his sack numbers and wants to be in there during the times when the other team is forced into playing from behind.

They have to walk that line with him.

I don’t even know if it’s about the money. He is getting his either way, but I don’t see him being happy sitting out when sacks are ripe for the taking, and I don’t really blame him.

That why….take care of his deal now and play him as it’s best for the team, but Jerry “likes ambiguity.” Great.

Von Miller was facing a size disadvantage similar to Parsons but he never seen to disappoint, I mean disappear like Parsons does towards the end of the year.

I gave Parson that excuse his first first two season but he should’ve figured it out by his third year

This may be true but do we know that Miller played the same min as Parsons his first 3-4 years? In other words, this is hard to reconcile without comparing their mins.

Miller never won a Super Bowl UNTIL 1. he was traded to Denver, 2. he added another elite pass rusher( DWare) and 3. he has played his entire career in the 3-4 scheme.

absolutely that too. As strong as he is his real weapon is speed, quickness, determination and if he is constantly battling these behemoth Offensive tackles it just wears a body out. We all said the same thing about zeke's early career, find ways to give him a break to keep the legs fresh.

The playcall on Kendricks' first sack of Watson was a thing of beauty.

Micah set up at LB and mugged the line like he was going to blitz. He dropped out into hook zone, covered the TE checkdown option like a wet blanket, and Kendricks blitzed instead from the far side. He faced a 1-on-1, because the OL had shifted towards Parsons, and got home.

Micah never got within 5 yards of the QB, but he created that sack IMO.

69 snaps is way to many for Micah,no wonder he gets worn down in the 2nd half of the season,he is no Myles Garrett.we need to promote Lawson to the active squad and reduce Micah's snap count.
Disagree. If he's playing more of a LB position, no need to limit snaps.

we are going to miss the turn overs…I couldn’t stand Zim’s D 20 years ago. I hope it’s much better.

Micah must think Zimmer's playbook looks like the Kama Sutra.....

Yup. It was a huge waste of talent to play Parsons exclusively at DE.

Are you going to miss teams running up the middle on us unimpeded?

Been trying to tell 'em that for years. It's quite often not the guy who got the sack who caused the sack.
