Parsons trade - A select few voices were called upon, none spoke against the idea

He offered what he was willing to pay. The number was a substantial amount. The player/agent wanted more. Jerry said "no, play out your contract and we can revisit later". Micah threw a fit, isolated himself from his teammates while at practice, and acted like a fool on live TV representing his teammates. I've never shied away from blaming Jerry, but the forced trade is all on Micah. Best of luck to him, but I think we just dodged a bullet.
Ok so he threw a tantrum so you make sit out then trade him in the offseason when you get a bigger trade haul. Why trade him now?

Team chemistry, for one. They still have some young players worth developing. Micah was starting to become toxic. Do you really want that around your team? Micah had the option of sitting out ten games. What use would he be, and how would sitting out affect his trade stock? What if he was injured? Lots of variables in play. Maybe they like the player that they are trading for. Imagine if he returns to 2023 form. Not difficult to do considering he was hurt last season, and indications from camp are positive. A great interior pass rush makes life easier for everyone on defense. I would have liked to have received more in compensation. We know teams are willing to trade assets for high production players, but we don't know who else would be willing or able to pay Micah what GB paid. Take your pick, man. He became a problem, an opportunity presented itself, Jerry made a move instead of paying him big money. That sounds like progress to me.

At least Dak shows up to play all year long. Unlike Micah who shows up just for September - Early November, only to see the player not show up the rest of the season.
Dak has missed significant time over the last 5 years and was terrible last year when he wasn't hurt. His last playoff performance was terrible. He doesn't always "show up", whatever that means.

We agree dear leader!

Dak shows up to work and produce! Last year, he had an old Oline and not enough weapons or the coaching staff aroundq him.

Look, Micah’s on line “trade me manifesto” post was a “he pushed the nuke button” move. There was no coming back from that, no matter the BS Jerry was feeding the media that it didn’t matter. Micah was done with Jerry and playing for this loser front office.
Micah is going to love living in GB, but he got his big back so he could retire early.

Congratulations, what are we a minor league team? Develop players then trade them away?
New plan. Activate fifth-year options and then find a trading partner. Two firsts for Tyler Smith and two for DaRon Bland are next on the list. OK, probably a first and second for those two. Not sure anyone would give us two firsts for a starting guard and starting corner.

We weren’t going to do well this season WITH MP so this worked out great get 2 starters in the 1st round in ‘26 then be ready to do some damage in the playoffs.
