Parsons trade - A select few voices were called upon, none spoke against the idea

Not sure how those splash plays helped so much. His run defense is about as bad as his pass rush is good.

I think I'd rather see us play even across the board. I think it's rather see us contain the runs.

We shall see.

No. His run defense is about average. Meanwhile his pass rush is arguably best in the entire league.

Splash plays, particularly turnovers are one of the most important aspects to winning games.

The two stats that correlate with winning the most:

1. Passer rating. (Constant pressure lowers the opponents passer rating)
2. Turnover ratio. Obviously forcing more turnovers makes it easier to win the turnover ratio.

Honestly I just think people are really really underselling how important and valuable
Micah was to the defense. There’s a reason our defense was AWFUL FOR YEARS prior to his arrival and have since LED THE LEAGUE in turnovers since his arrival.

Dak is just as greedy but overrated. He’s just learned from the Garrett school of PR politics with his “did it for the brotherhood” nonsense that no one except his slobberers believe.
They forgot Dak had Tad and the boys play contract negotiations on Twitter when Jerry wasn’t discussing new contract. And Dak did that prime time interview, with the the typical “mental health” sob story timed perfectly in that context.

They also forget Dak refused a 5 year deal, only wanting a 4.

They also forget Dak said he isn’t taking a hometown discount, as teams can very well pay players what they want, especially considering the league has now legalized gambling and adding plenty of money from that revenue.

They also forget Lamb was also sitting out and trying to force a contract with ridiculous numbers.

very true i dont think Micah was a locker room favorite, i dont hink he was "A cancer" but i think most players saw him for who he was.. a very "Me first" player. Talented for sure but i dont think the locker room is moved much by this.
In every company there is always “yes men”. They fight for positions and starting time just like anybody else. And the salary cap impacts their bottom line too.

At this point in time, he wasn't getting better value. Before the draft....yep. In the middle of the season when a big name on a playoff level team went down...maybe. A week before the season...not a chance.

Parsons was setting things up to be sitting due to his back "injury" all the while collecting his paycheck. Jerry had to make the deal now.

Itis his fault for not making the decision months ago, but at this point, he had few options and I think he took what the best offer was.
This is exactly why you don't wait until the last minute to extend contracts.

I don’t think so either. I try to monitor his guys respond to him im pretty sure Diggs loves him.

Malik was speaking for the locker room and I and others wrote it off. It was bigger then just a podcast.

I don’t think anyone forgot lol

I think Diggs is probably close to Micah as far as locker room goes now, he needs to show up this year or he will be gone also. Most guys in the room are close to forgetting what Diggs did before he got paid.

Could be.

Let's say you are right. This trade therefore....becomes even more valuable, potentially.

The only way this trade was worthwhile is if the use the added draft capital to move on from Dak and actually try to move up and nab a franchise QB in the draft and land an elite one.

If that doesn’t happen. The trade will ultimately not help improve the team.

I would’ve shipped Diggs out too but I think his value might be shot right now.

I don't have a problem with trading Parsons. I have BIG problem with the compensation they received in return. Jerry got fleeced. Again.
Compensation is fine. Don't forget the huge salary cap implications for not signing Parsons and extra $20M gained if Clark is cut next year.

No one dissented because a) they didn't want to face the ire of Jerry and b) they saw how Jerry ***** this up and there was no way back.

Trading him was the only option at the end. When Parsons and his agent made one last attempt and Jerry told them to pound sand, it was clear it was over.

Hahahaha.

They won't do squat with it. They had cap space this offseason to make some real crucial FA signings and they did nothing.

You'd like to think they'd throw some of those savings at Pickens, but given the dynamics, Jerry will probably botch that as well.

Who would be dumb enough to speak against a trade that Jerry obviously wanted? Jerry is not a GM but he is a salesman. He sold this trade to the room and the staff wants to keep their job.

Pickens has that one agent Jerry doesnt like..whats his name again....

His poor back....

See how he is acting. Just like the brat baby that fell on the floor kicking and screaming because he did not get the toy he wanted. Now look at him dancing around because momma gave him the toy. Me first brat.

we got Milton!! we grand!! back to we like our guys

Look, Micah’s on line “trade me manifesto” post was a “he pushed the nuke button” move. There was no coming back from that, no matter the BS Jerry was feeding the media that it didn’t matter. Micah was done with Jerry and playing for this loser front office.
This
