He’s becoming a one trick pony. Multiple sacks in a game or he’s invisible. Becoming a Demarcus Lawrence clone
I watched the game on PVR and saw more of him on the bench than the field, so figured he was hurt. He looks to be fitting in with past D on this team but overrunning plays in the open field....

Im so tired of this stupid take.

It’s not splash plays or bust. One of the things that makes Parsons so special is he commands attention. Just because he’s not making splash plays doesn’t mean he’s not affecting the game.

Just like corner play isn’t interception or bust. Stop pushing this narrative. It’s wrong

Might he miss out on DPotY because if it? Sure. But who cares. Dude is a generational talent having a dynamic effect on games. Saying anything else is willful ignorance.

The Texans Pro Bowl LT Larmey Tunsil jumped offsides twice at a critical time in the game because of the presence of Parsons...

Something us definitely off with him

He could be burned out. He’s been taking a lot of breaks on the sidelines. Looks like he’s running on fumes right now. Definitely not the player he was earlier in the season. He was a complete no-show today.

If you are an offensive coordinator and you are gameplanning the Cowboys defense, which Cowboys defender do you want to limit the most?

Any team that allows Parsons more than 2 sacks in a game didn't focus on their primary objective.

With that said, every resource used to take out Parsons is one less resource that can be used against th other 10 guys.

In other words, every fumble recovery, every sack by a Cowboys player, every tackle for a loss or quarterback pressure, every defensive stand or TD had a little bit of Parsons in it.

Who should then?
I'd go Bosa. Parsons is a dominant player at times, but he is not exactly great against the run, so I'd give DPOY to a player that can do it all if there's a player out there like that.

Bosa has missed a few games. Even a half healthy Parsons has to be accounted for by a defensive coordinator.

Still think he wins it. Sacks aren't everything. He caused two false starts at the end of the game, gets doubled constantly and he doesn't rush the passer 100% of the time. The only comp is Bosa.
Exactly.
His overall body of work has been more influential than Bosa this season and he has played more games. He might be nursing an issue or two but Parsons should be the strong favourite at the moment. He played a key part in the team winning 4 out of 5 games including one against the Bengals with a practice squad QB. Also the key stop vs the Lions to prevent a TD at a crucial moment. Without his contribution the season would already be over. But fans are fickle and unrealistic to forget this and expect him to play lights out in every single game.

This isn’t a news flash. He’s been very impressive, but a lot of his hype is because of the uniform he wears.

he is a great player,… Just not to the level that has been discussed yet. You can coach him out of a game.[/QUOTE

LEVEL HE'S BEEN DISCUSSED, which equals his success from his rookie season, this is a new year

Still to be determined, but I don't think Parsons is the favorite anymore. Not sure if he's injured or teams are just scheming around him. Teams definitely run the ball more to stay out of passing situations. Plus, he's faced some good tackles.

However, one concern I have (and this seems petty) is Parsons body language. If he's not getting sacks, he seems to sulk & appears disinterested. Now, I know everyone isn't a rah rah, always fiery & energetic person. But just seems odd to me. AGAIN, I know that seems petty and that may just be his persona. It's not a knock or anything, just something I've noticed & find odd.
