Parsons's bowling event for his Lions Heart Foundation

Any charitable efforts should always be acknowledged, respected and appreciated. Micah Parsons' Lion Heart Foundation is a wonderful example of humanity's empathy.

Is it just me, it appears this is now his team. He's now the face of the team.

That may be true but he would be the wrong face in my opinion. Off the field good deeds and public speaking should not be the sole contributors of that pseudo title.

This is the NFL. This is the Dallas Cowboys. How a player has demonstrated their team's soul for attaining excellence in professional football should be the qualification instead. It should not be a title simply bestowed upon anyone who talks too much.

Still feels like Jerry team to me but we will see when the draft process comes and we see Jerry with his trades all over the camera pretending like he knows what he’s talking about.

I don’t think you just ask for the title and you receive it. It’s sort of given to you without even wanting it. Micah knows that. And he conducts himself like the leader even if we hate his podcasts. He has some growing to do but I think it’s natural the most vocal and best player on the team is kind of that guy.

I think there’s some rare occurrences like Tomlin in Pitt which is what I would prefer. My head coach being that guy but in Dallas…would probably never happen.

All the good deeds and charity in the universe won't matter eventually, if you cannot demonstrate desired results and leadership on Sundays. Are the desired results still winning meaningful games? That's the caveat. Or are the results in the eye of the beholder? As for me, my expectations are this, SHOW ME, DO NOT TELL ME. Very simple. Talk is cheap. Btw, good on him for helping others off the field.

I don't see anyone busting his butt as hard as he does...as for the talking, so what? What does he say that is so bad? Irvin used to talk, as have many, many others....imagine if they had the social media access back then...some just don't like him. If the team was winning, they wouldn't care about the talking....but henhas the balls to do so and turns himself into an easy mark.
I agree talking doesn't make you a leader....hard work, will to win, do. He has both of those....who wants to win more than him?

I mean truthfully this stuff matters more than football. But in regards to football no it doesn’t really help.

Who said "public speaking " was the "sole contribution". It's certainly not the intent of my post. My apology if that is how it's perceived. I just happened to notice IMO he has improved his public speaking. He seems more relaxed and in control. As for the face of the team.......Stephen Jones once said he expects ALL his large contract players to take a more active role representing the team off the field.
Bottom line ( guess I didn't communicate well ) IMO it now appears this Parsons team and he's replaced Dak as the top leader.

He plays multiple positions at the coach's request, he's gassed at the end games from taking on players weighting 40-50+ lbs more, he once said his goal is to make players around him better, he's offered to do a team-friendly contract to bring in more players..........
So tell me, what more can he do to prove/show how badly he wants to win?

He needs to share his thoughts on Coogi's podcast! Lol

No question its Jerry's team but from the player's perspective, there was a time when this was Dak's team w/o question. I'm not sure about that now........just me, but feels more so Parsons now even with Dak having the largest contract.

I was going to respond but I will first ask, what do you mean?
He's getting recognition because of the star on the helmet. Not anything charity related. If he was Joe blow six pack no one would notice him. Since he does have the star on the helmet, he can do so much more for those unfortunates if he could live up to the expectations. I like what he's doing off the field to help. I just wish he would maximize who he is. Less talky more doing.

What more would you like to see him to add?

I'm trying to reconcile these two statements and concur with Hawkeye in stating, "What do you mean?"

It's like you're saying he gets publicity to help others because of the star on his helmet but then also say he can do much more to help others if he lives up to expectations because of the star on his helmet. What "expectations" can do more that the star on his helmet is not already doing?

Win meaningful games. That is all . It will do all the speaking.
