but Big Mike + Zim was poison.

we rarely got to see the AA gap scheme.

basically ran the same base that DQ used.

plus tons of injuries.

Zim is decent. Let's not pretend his is spags. Eberflus has a chance but the team must buy in.

What do you mean how so? Gave him garbage to work with tied his tenure to MM. who cares if he could go get an assistant gig elsewhere, I’m talking about here in Dallas, and so what if he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, look where comfort has gotten this franchise. They did that man dirty.

I just don't get how people like you can conclude that Zimmer is any good as a DC when the facts strongly say otherwise.

Zimmer gave the Cowboys a record breaking bad defense in his first tenure as DC.

Zimmer has never taken a team to a SB as DC or HC in over 20 years.

Zimmer gave the Cowboys yet another rancid defense in his next attempt. A defense of mostly the same players that were breaking turnover records for Quinn.

BTW, the same Quinn who has taken two different franchises as far as a CCG, and one got all the way to the SB, took over the laughingstock WSH team and over night took them to the CCG. THAT is a good coach. Not a guy who could never get it done in Zimmer.

TJ played over 900 snaps on the defensive line according to PFF.

3-4 teams only play run downs in a 3 man front, which is a very small percentage of plays. Nickel nd Dime, which teams are in 80%, 3-4 teams use a 4 man front. 3-4 VS. 4-3 isnt really relevant on 80% of the plays. Its only relevant on obvious run downs

I agree. The only difference these days is where the defensive players lineup gap wise. The 4-3/3-4 traditional defenses died out over a decade ago. With the switch from 12 and 21 packages to 11 or 10 packages having 3 linebackers or 4 went from base to specialty formations

I don't know a Giants fan that wanted to get rid of Barkley. I did a poll a while ago and half the Cowboys fans wanted to trade Parsons. They say that wanted picks, but they have very unrealistic ideas of the impact those pick will have VS. an MVP caliber player like Parsons

People may not like to hear it, but I'm kind of liking Barkley myself both as a player and as a person.

He seems to handle himself well, and more importantly, he does come across as seeing his success as a team effort.

When that 3rd string running back scored the last TD of the game, it was Barkley who seems really excited over it, and it seemed sincere and not just for show.

Seems like Barkley is hard not to like, and I can see why the Giants fans didn't want him to leave.

Berkley only needs 35 yards to have the most yardage of any running back in the league for one full season. I sincerely hope he gets it. If they win the superbowl, it's possible the Barkley can do something that only Emmitt Smith has done.
