I remember in the game against the Browns Cowboys player Irving and Browns play Erving both got ousted from the game basically for being idiots. However, I wondered if their offenses were serious enough to get thrown out of the game for good.
I’ve wondered if the league should consider temporary suspensions from a game if the offense is more serious than a penalty could cover but less serious than a rest-of-game suspension. For example, suspend and offensive player for 15 offensive plays or a defensive player for 15 defensive plays. Another option would be to suspend a player for a quarter. In other words, if it’s 6 minutes into the second quarter, the player is allowed to return 6 minutes into the 3rd.
Players want to play. Do you think this could work?
