Last seven games
How many of them have been against Quality Offenses with very good or better QBs?
Burrows and Hurts; Stroud not playing that well. And also very good or better O lines. Eagles clearly and who else?

Parsons and Osa have become a great pass rushing tandem in year four. Too bad Parsons he will holdout and Osa will leave through free agency. The Joneses deserve every bit of this smoke.
What did Osa do last year rushing the passer? How many sacks did he actually get, not just pressures?

I like Parson, but I've always been for trading him for a Herschel type of trade. I also had Martin on that list last year.

But now with Overshown hurt and his future ??? I think Parson has a bit more leverage.

I think you have to bring Zimm back ..........it took a few games for the D to buy into his system, and then Parsons missed some time but man, they have been balling since his return. In other words, it appears the D is going to close out the season strong. You almost have to run it back.
Is the defense better or is the competition worse?

You still don’t get it, do I need to school you again? he is going against individuals. On an offensive line. He’s not a goal against the entire offense. Come on. You’re on a football website understand the game.

Fortunately Philly should be resting starters, and Washington is a year away from solid. That said the Bucs will be a good test.
This is really a year where I have to wait til the end of the season to judge the defense,
the offense we already know coaching is killing it and we need a QB
Why would Philly be resting their starter? They are fighting for the first seed with Detroit and Minny. I highly doubt they will be resting their starters with two games left when they play us.

Osa had .5 sacks in the 4 games Parsons was out. Since Parsons has returned Osa has 3.5 sacks.

Lawson had 2.5 sacks in the 4 games Parsons missed. Since then he has 2.5 sacks.

Parsons has 7.5 sacks in the 6 games since his return. Over 17 games that is a 21 sack pace.

Overall the Cowboys had 9 sacks in the 4 games Parsons missed. They have 24 in the 6 games since he returned. That 2.25 sacks per game vs 4 sacks per game.

Talk about the Competition all you want but I don't think it is that simple. Carolina has given up fewer sacks than the Eagles, for example. The Cowboys have 6 of the 28 sacks of Carolina QBs.

I think the entire defense is playing better. I think Parsons is a major factor and has been since he was drafted.

You found one or two exceptions out of hundreds of ALL PROs over the years and not one did you find did a position change until he got old.
at the top of his game, an ALL PRO stays where he is at his best not because the team puts him at another position where he is not; not permanently they don't

as regards OSA, what are his stats going up against the best?
You will never own anyone because you failed football 101

Not bad all started when Parsons came back..coincidence? Hardly it opens things up for others,,

Lawson our new version of Fowler. Not bad for player most said was a waste of space…. Fans are fickle

to bad this run game, OL ,and defense didn’t arrive earlier before Dak got hurt..year might have played out differently.

I agree, the defense is playing well and it makes sense to keep it going.

I agree with you on this, which is why it is at the top of my list in the draft. Odighizuwa is a good DT, who sometimes even plays great. We need a DT who generates all on his own, like an Aaron Donald or Chris Jones. That would take the defense to the next level. We haven't had that kind of interior presence in a very, very long time.
Thing we’re just gonna dial at one 800 and get one of those players you mentioned that’s not how it works I mean literally those dudes are generational they don’t come around very often they’re hard to find and you’re not just gonna get rid of Asa and immediately replace him like you would any other position expect them to be the next, Aaron Donald that’s just ridiculous…

I reMember the same thing were talked about Malik Collins and guess what happens he leaves he proves himself he gets a generational contract from San Francisco is playing very well. When you let go of players that were on the verge of maybe coming that, but Aaron Donald types of interior guys get sacks like that are like unicorns, they’re very difficult to fined. I mean harder than probably most any position in the NFL. I bet if you’re looking for interior defense linemen that can put up stat lines like jones and Donald and add that NYG kid Lawrence that no too many.
