You don’t think it had to do with helping the other two free up when he was double teamed. Although many of us have been asking for a stud defensive tackle for 30 years.
The best weapon on a defense is a pocket collapsing DT
QB can't see the field, has to throw high, can't step up to avoid DEs.
Stops 4th and short runs.
That said, Mazi seems to be maturing
But then again everybody looks like world beaters against the Carolina bunch.
This week will be a good read on this defense.

Rather coincidental that the pass rush improved to such a large degree the minute Parsons was back on the field. I imagine it reduced the number of times others were double teamed.

In addition, quarterbacks have a habit of going in the opposite direction that Parsons is approaching. This leaves them vulnerable to the other D-linemen that become the beneficiary of Parsons impact on the group of blockers.

Parsons contribution extends beyond his own stats and greatly influences those of his teammates. That is what great players do.

I think you have to bring Zimm back ..........it took a few games for the D to buy into his system, and then Parsons missed some time but man, they have been balling since his return. In other words, it appears the D is going to close out the season strong. You almost have to run it back.
Fortunately Philly should be resting starters, and Washington is a year away from solid. That said the Bucs will be a good test.
This is really a year where I have to wait til the end of the season to judge the defense,
the offense we already know coaching is killing it and we need a QB

you realize that without micah Osa isn't doing that, yeah? i don't get some of you
Are you watching him dominate offensive lineman?
I just don't get some of your guys' love for certain players.
But if it makes you feel better, I'm sure Jerry's right there with you.

you don't get peoples love for one of the consensus best defensive players in the league? lol. your confusion and jerry's position has zero impact on how i feel or don't. and yes, i've been pleasantly surprised by osa's stellar play, and i recognize it's symbiotic. trading micah and depending on osa would be grade a moronic.

So let's not do it. That seems to have worked for the past 30 years.
No...we should.

I'll go a step further: let's draft a Hall Of Fame QB like Brady or Mahomes.

Also 2 pro bowl oLinemen.

That's literally just THREE measly items on the To Do list for Jerruh.

We came up with the idea, now all Kerry has to do is simply do it.

Dynasty here we come!

Post the leaders for the year please.

This is like some random player going 3/5 in a baseball game. Doesn't mean much.

I don't recall saying I'm depending on osa. I believe i said get a stud DT and a QB. Then and only then will we win meaningful games. What has Parsons got you so far? He does look good gassed on the sidelines though. Have you noticed that?

I can only go off of you saying "that's exactly why we can trade parsons" in a thread about osa. my deductive reasoning isn't what it used to be, but seems to me you're saying that osa makes parsons expendable. that's dumb. and sure i've noticed him gassed on the sidelines, i've noticed him terrorizing opposing offenses far more often though. and absolutely more than osa is "dominating offensive linesmen" but yes, we haven't had the success i've hoped for with parsons. i can only assume that by losing him that will increase!

That's exactly why we can trade Parsons, draft a killer quarterback and pick up another stud. DT
Because of a DT we're not likely to resign and a cheap FA addition who may go to greener pastures as well? Micah is the engine that drives our pass rush.

I agree with you on this, which is why it is at the top of my list in the draft. Odighizuwa is a good DT, who sometimes even plays great. We need a DT who generates all on his own, like an Aaron Donald or Chris Jones. That would take the defense to the next level. We haven't had that kind of interior presence in a very, very long time.
