Pass rush help needed, Barham?

Im
Sure it’s less than 10 snaps. Just out there on clear passing downs.
Well maybe that will change you know as the season builds up as the veterans get in better shape and if the Cowboys are in that kind of role where they can set up a team when we're ahead and actually get pressure on actual pass rush downs he might get better but no this is a dumb idea i'm sorry it's a hell no you leave Barham next to Winters it's been getting better each week and you add overshown to the pass rush room I don't understand how people don't see it He's really quick he has a good first step and if you get him out of traffic that would be his best spot and now you have all three guys out there and if for whatever reason Overjone gets hurt again he doesn't mess up the chemistry that's being built right now with the off the ball linebackers I prefer them to add Baron or someone like him to the active game day roster every week..

But the whole experiment like with the LIafu and they're really waiting on Malachi law to get better eze to get home, wheres 40..

Well they made the trade for Porter that helps your back end these guys are gonna come back healthy I think a lot of guys are coming back for the short week Bucks game I think they've been waiting to get healthy why not then put overshown to the outside look I'm not a coach i'm not an expert but I watched him since college I think it would be a great place to go and you keep all three of your veterans now on the field at the same time you don't mess up the linebacker chemistry that's being built right now It's been getting better after against the Ravens you want to change that no you just keep it going Use all of your best players at the same time.

You know how they talk about that You know on the offensive line it needs to gel you keep your best 5 so somehow, you might have to use one at a place Well this is what we need to do on defense as well..

Micah Parsons was drafted as an off the ball linebacker. Dan Quinn moved him to edge and he became a ridiculous pass rusher. I don’t think it’s a terrible idea. Barham’s only weakness seems to be having to cover and work in space. It may be worth a shot.
It's a horrible idea because he was drafted to be a middle linebacker a downhill big physical linebacker which Parsons was not he was a tweener and that's why he was moved Smartly moved but it's a terrible idea Don't talk about Parsons they are two different players barham is a prototypical big physical downhill guy and he was more so a middle linebacker in college he only played 10 games I believe as defensive end for OSU but his best stuff was in Maryland and at the beginning of his OSU season his place is a middle linebacker.

It's not the same situation and you're ruining chemistry that we're building there and the linebacker room you want to move somebody you move overshone he is like Parsons the man is very much similar great first step good speed not great in traffic We are hurting where let's see the linebacker room is starting to shape up I mean look what they did against the Ravens in short yardage they just brought in Joey Porter some guys are gonna come back healthy but where do we need help the most What are you talking about in this thread you need pass rush help you put over shown out there and now you have all three of your starters in Barham winters and overshown all on the field at the same time I think you improve your defense immediately.

They will not give overshown His spot back He's not getting the green dot back Shall we go back and look over all the plays from the Giants game and I know Agent Zero was trying he was trying really hard but he was getting smashed up and ran over it is time to come to realization that my boy from my Longhorn he's not a safety even though I know he did that in high school and a little bit when he was brought over into Longhorn Country however I see him as a great outside linebacker in a 34 it is a perfect time to get him in that role..

I think Barham needs reps rushing. He has experience in doing it. He’s explosive and violent, can fight around blocks (vs EZ who runs into the tackle and stalemates him)…good traits for rushing. I don’t see EZ really doing enough to get AROUND the tackles.
No he's still developing It's the rookie Lawrence that probably needs some reps taking away from him right now eazy E has a lot of pass rush moves he's just not getting home and maybe he'll get that eventually kind of like watching last night the story of Malik Collins who was very much talked about like that here and now he's on his 14 the dude looks like one of the most dominant three techs in the league right now He makes USA look bad but we gave up on him because he just wasn't ready eazy E will get ready Lawrence will get his shot we need to move overshown out there..
.
That's my opinion barham does not need one snack as an outside linebacker he is not our pass rusher he is our full time green dot wearing physical big mean middle linebacker and he will not be moving anytime soon and I like winters next to him he played 17 games last year that shows what he's not injury prone it shows consistency and it started looking pretty well his short yardage last week You don't mess with that what you do is you add overshown back to the field but you make him outside linebacker you make him a pass rusher that's the easiest solution here not messing with the rookies chemistry right now that he's gaining confidence every week and now you throw him outside too

hell no!!!!!!!!!

Do y'all think Houston and/or Lawrence will get more snaps at edge to try and generate more pass rush? Not that anyone is so far but Gary just isn't getting it done. And does anyone think they can (or will) try Barham at edge rusher once Overshown is back?

Before you crucify me, I only bring it up because pass rush is by far our biggest issue and frankly he seems to be a guy that has some real juice. Be honest, before training camp most of us thought he was drafted to be a 3/4 OLB and would rush the QB most of the time. They moved him to MLB and it's been good, really good at times. But he has the skills to passrush.

If we can get some pass rush elsewhere I'd would love to see Overshown and Barham at LB together, Barham seems a beast at MLB and I think the WLB might be the better spot for Overshown anyway as he seems to do better in space reading and reacting to QBs and plays outside the hashes.
sigh...

The problem right now is that we do not have the DL rotation required to run this defense nor do we have the LB's suited to it. Rashan Gary is not a LB. He is a 4-3 DE. Ezaraku is a pass rusher. Thats why we drafted him. Von is like 90 years old. Overshown is out. Barham is our best LB and he wasn't even supposed to start.

CP imposed this defense on a roster that doesn't have the talent or depth of philly during his tenure there. This was never going to work and it's not getting any better this year. I don't care how many pro bowlers we have in the secondary. If given enough time in the pocket, most all the QBs in this league are going to pick you apart when you have to move safeties up to stop the run.

Overshown is garbage. Keep him off the field. Id probably rather play James than Overshown. As for Barham, he wont add much to the pass rush. He is a better LB than a pass rusher, and even good pass rushers dont generate much as rookies

Yes, apparently they did draft him for that role. But I'm saying that most of the rest of the football world believed he was a better fit as a 3/4 OLB, to be a pass rusher first, who could drop into cover occasionally.
Very, very few people will convince me that pre-draft they thought of him as more of a MLB than OLB. I call BS.
Turns out they may have been right about his ability to do both, but the pass rusher is still there. And they definitely need a pass rusher.
Barham probably goes undrafted as an edge rusher. He had 12 sacks in 4 years in college. There is a reason he was moved to LB. Any FO executive that is spending a top 100 pick on him as a pass rusher should be fired

Bar seems to do a good job run blitzing in the A/B gaps.

They need Barham at ILB.

Pass Rush has been limited because they played hyper athletic running QBs.

Gary's top job is to stop the run including running QBs.

The pass rush should come from the other side and from QW at DT.

He was moved to edge in college and was more effective there. He was regarded as an inexperienced edge rusher with real potential in pretty much all the draft build up stuff that I read/saw.

I don’t know.

I think we are cooked at DC.

CP is a bust.

Look at what Flores is doing for the Vikes.
