How does everyone feel about our pass rush for the next 3 weeks without Gregory?

He showed plenty of potential on Sunday. The pass rush is pretty much a 2014 edition until RG and Hardy play.

Does anyone have a concern in this area? I know the WR addition has taken alot of the attention away from losing Gregory. Just wanted to see if anyone else is concerned in this area short term.

Short term, sure. We're down our top two rushers, so that's got to be a concern.

That said, with Mincey and Lawrence in the lineup, we're basically ahead of where we were last season at the position. And we've got some more depth at DT, too with guys like Crawford and Coleman who give you some pressure inside in a rotation. And Russell showed a bit in preseason, too.

Worse comes to worse and we'll bring pressure from the WIL, which also ought to be an improvement over how we played most of last season given that Sean Lee is back there. Goes to show just how bare of talent he defense has been here recently.

I think they'll be fine. The pass rush was fine in Week 1. We still were able to make Eli have to move around and not allowing him to get completely comfortable and at the end on the most important play forced him to throw it in the back of the end zone.

Don't really get people complaining about D-Law. He was pretty stout against the run and because of all the quick throws weren't really many sack opportunities. He's much improved and will make a significant impact this season.

The Giants have a below average line at best. That is what concerns me.

It seemed the first half they were hesitant or rusty if you will. In the second half the really started heating up. It doesn't show in the box score but Eli throws was off due to pressure of a few occasions. I thought the secondary played extremely good, limiting some throws just because they were in great position. Claiborne looked really good, stayed with whoever he was assigned to especially Beckham. You can tell a difference when Mincey is in compared to Gregory and believed Gregory had taken the starting job before his injury. Crawford is a hand full to deal with, Hayden got in the backfield a few times but was late getting to the play. DLaw seemed to warm up some as well, had pretty decent backside pursuit when plays went away from him.

Overall I believe they can manage until Hardy and Gregory return. The biggest factor is Lee and Hitchens were everywhere, I think that will help. If the secondary and LBs can play well we can cover the DL.

Hard to judge by the Giants game because they used primarily 3 step drops.

I agree. If the Cowboys defense holds every opposing QB to 20+ points lower than his usual passing rating (like they did with Eli on Sunday), I'll be satisfied with a passing defense job well done.

Definitely no complaints here from Lawrence. I'm not worried about him. My concern is on the opposite side. I have no doubt Lawrence will continue to make plays similar to his performance vs Det last season.

Huge concern for me
Philly will out a ton of pressure on them with their run game, tempo and short passing

This is the first that I can recall us shutting down Eli. Seeing RG bolting pass the LT has me pumped. Once we get everyone back our defense is going to look intimidating.

Gregory was showing something out there. It was only a matter of time before he got to eli. It's unfortunate he got hurt. We're gonna struggle like we did last year until we get our boys back.

We need to flood the short routes and force Philly to beat us deep. Deep passes means we have that extra second or two to move Bradford off his spot. He can't hit a lick if he has to move around.
