as much as i hated it that jj didn't produce when he was a dallas cowboys i think it's just bad style to laugh about someones bad performance.

jj had a hard time with us. i think he had potential but somehow "lost" it because he lost his natural running style. i hope he finds his self confidence again and will have a decent nfl carreer. because to me he seems like a very likeable guy. there are others i would not wish such kind of carreer...

And less not forget the Hawks always stink it up playing on the East Coast. While they don't play miserably, they'll always find a way to screw up when playing East Coast games.

On second thought, it's only WEEK 1, there's plenty of football left.

JJ, was just an average RB, who had a few lucky games, producing big yardage.

No one can make you lose your normal running style, you either have what it takes, or not.

Parcels, as much as I dislike him was trying to help JJ to be a better complete RB, and to be successful. He knew he made a bad pick when he passed on Steven Jackson.

Only those who for some reason fixate that JJ was from ND and thus as a focus for their mentally unbalanced hatred miss that the JJ as a rookie and the one we saw later were two different backs.
Was it the over muscling and loss of balance or something else- whatever it was the rookie JJ had something that disapeared. It has happened before to backs.

Don't get it twisted, everybody was giddy over Julius during his first season here, everyone thought he was going to become an awesome RB. Much like another Jones I know of.

In other former-Cowboy news, Fasano played fantastic yesterday, as a receiver. Looked like Witten out there, quite frankly. I didn't pay close attention to his blocking, but he was beating the Jets defenders badly. No doubt Papa Bear Witten taught him alot. :)

He looked like a star in Miami yesterday. I was very happy for him

I think Felix will be better eventually but until then he is a couple of 190 yard games short. Let's not poo poo on Julius' tenure here just because he left on bad terms. He played well his first two years.

With that said, Felix is a beast!

Those games were a long time ago and Julius is not the same RB anymore.

I would disagree with this take - he had great burst and improvisational skills as a rookie and then just seemed to lose it.

I know it's just one game, but I think it's safe to say they've both already settled into their roles.

the difference between the 2 backs is night and day

Felix just looks quick and fast, watch his body language while he's running, it looks like he's looking to make a move all the time, while Julius grabs the ball w/ a kung-** grip, puts his head down, and runs in a straightline until he runs into something

if you looked at the definition of inertia, you would find a picture of Julius Jones

Wow, I thought inertia required movement...not constantly falling down at the slightest contact and then whining like a little girl. Blaming everyone but yourself for failure.;)

I was thinking about movement until being stopped by another object lol that's exactly how Julius runs

dude has tunnel vision like a mother, which is funny because my basketball coach used to say that about all of us
