Past Draft Gaffes Looming Large

Taking TEs and Injured players high is the exact reason why we can't stop anyone. Schoonmaker, Revel, even Overshown who has always been injury prone. That's why.
I hope that’s not a shot at Schoonmaker, who played his best ball today and left it all out on the field.

They don't know the meaning of the word accountability in the Dallas FO. Same people at the top for 30 years, same results. Nothing changes until that does. Everywhere else except maybe Cincinnati you have to win to keep your job.

The “cowboys are one of the best drafting teams in the league” isn’t something that is guaranteed in perpetuity. The truth is they’ve been bad the last few years. Just plain bad.

Considering they also do nothing in FA. It’s a recipe for disaster and why the team isn’t good right now.

They have been drafting for “need” lately and it’s bit them hard. They forced a pick on Mazi because they needed DT. They forced a pick on Guyton because they needed a tackle. They forced picks on Schoonmaker, Kelvin Joseph for need.

And on top of that. They have tendency to gamble with second round picks on guys who have been hurt or who have off field issues (Sam Williams).

I don't know of any other team that takes backup tight ends in the second round and we've taken four of them in the last 15 years. You don't draft backups in the first three rounds unless you have zero idea about what you're doing and these past 30 years have proven that. I didn't even watch the game because I was at work but that is perfectly fine because I don't enjoy these games anymore and haven't for a while.

And Jerry calling Dak the best leader he's ever seen is a lie. Aikman was twice the leader that Dak is. Jerry was finally able to take a shot at Aikman after he sent about 20 unanswered shots Jerry's way.

Add Guyton to the list… Hated that pick before it happened. I hate even more today. Total waste of a pick.
