PastaBelly On When to Expect TO Release

What a career!
They forgot to mention him single-handedly destroying two franchises, almost a 3rd. Luckily baltimore got out of that scrape realitively easy. :bang2:

I didn't realize TO was suspended twice last season. The first time was appearently during training camp last year. Does anyone know what this suspension was for?

Not reporting to camp, wanted a new deal.

No. There was an altercation at training camp when TO refused to sign autographs for the fans, and then there was some bickering between TO and Reid.

So which is it, the altercation or simply not reporting? Or did one lead to the other?

When the Eagles first signed TO, didn't they inform him not to sign the deal because it was not a good deal for him to sign? But he signed it anyway to join a team w/ Super Bowl hopes. When McNabb squandered the team's hopes of a Super Bowl victory (or at least that's what TO will tell you happened) then TO's interest in a more fair deal became appearant. And from there it seems the problems began in Philly.

If this is the case, then doesn't logic tell us that if TO gets a deal he perceives to be fair then this kind of thing will be behind him, no longer an issue, and he'll be able to focus on on-field and withing-locker-room production?

I cant believe you guys dont remember seeing the shots of TO reporting to camp after all of the hoopla which played on ESPN all freakin' day. Headphones, not responding to reporters, etc.

He was on time.

i wish jerry would have had the same interest in problem players before now, randy moss anyone! jerry didnt draft him because he was thought to be a troublemaker. dang only if.....1998 1st round pick Dallas Cowboys Randy Moss.

I do hope and believe that is the case.

Yes, that was when Reid was talking with the team and TO was running his mouth. When Reid told TO to shut up TO went off talking about he was a man and not some kid and was not going to be talked to like that. Now Parcells last season pushed and told one of his assistant coaches to shut up do you think Parcells would be shy to tell TO the same thing?

Shock the world Philly !!! Give him a new deal !!!

What if Philly punishes him by just giving him the bonus and then letting him rot on the bench the duration of his contract? He'd be getting screwed out of several million that way and the Eagles have the excess cap room

I don't think Dallas should be baby sitting this guy. Oh make sure you give him what he wants so he does not act up? please this is a professional football team not a day care and the object should not be to do what makes TO happy. I want Dallas to win as much as anyone but not at all cost for 1 single player he is not worth it!!!!

Jerry has said he regrets letting Randy Moss get passed him on draft day a few years ago. Do you honestly think he's going to let another big-time receiver get by him this time?

He has no BP connections and BP will never trust him to lead this team with his history.

BP had no connections with at-the-time team cancer Brian Cox and he signed him anyway.

Not saying that means TO is coming or not either way, just saying history doesn't preclude it.

Less than 4 hours to go... I got a feeling that Jerry has something up his sleeve.

I was thinking more along the lines of a 3 year deal laden with incentives.

Yeah like building him his own locker room so he can stay the hell away from other players. This will be a big mistake if Dallas does this. I don't think it is an accident that the last 2 teams TO has played for sent him packing despite the numbers he put up they still did not want him and saw the problems he caused for the team.

Go see my Donovan McNabb thread and see my position on his conflict with the Eagles. He had a legit argument.
