Pat McAfee show on George Pickens

LOL neither is an option to replace a guy like Pickens.
Well if the idea is to replace Pickens then that’s a losing battle. If you want Pickens you should keep him. I love the guy but he’s a luxury. Eagles aren’t concerned with getting someone as good as AJ. They are fine with a late round pick and Hollywood.

What does my post name read? Jazzcat has his own opinions separate from mine, we just agree on this particular statement.
I’m asking is this a burner account of his? I was literally talking to him and you replied you’d concede if I posted proof….it read like it was him talking….but either way here

"The questions about him in Pittsburgh -- maturity, timeliness -- weren't as much of a problem for the Cowboys. That doesn't mean those issues disappeared when he arrived in Dallas," Archer wrote. "Coach Brian Schottenheimer alluded to Pickens still being late to things, and multiple sources said Pickens was fined during the season."

I don’t get what’s being argued….so you think him being late is a myth or a rumor?

What I am saying is, narratives follow players whether true or not. How many other Cowboys players were late for meetings? Never reported but the narrative on that guy is newsworthy.

This means nothing. Alluded to and being late is not causing team turmoil. Consider the source, it is Archer.
He never caused any sideline or locker room issues.

There is no argument, you are acting as if being late, like many players are. Is a huge disruption. He has not caused sideline issues, or locker room issues. Just reported being late and probably less than many fans want to believe.

But Shotty literally benched him before a game this year for being late…mind you it was the first home game since Kneelands death that they were acknowledging.

I don’t care about him being late like I said above I’m sure many guys do it. I personally don’t believe Vrabel would actively trade for a player with Pickens history.

So everyone is lying on Pickens about how late he is to meetings and practice?

Im
Not acting like anything. I don’t believe Vrabel would add a player like Pickens to their team. I never said it’s creating locker room issues or any of that that’s your own assumption. I personally don’t care hes late Dez was late all the time and didn’t bother me.

The sad thing is, Jerry and Stephen turned what was supposed to be a pre-draft information presser into a Pickens clown show. Even crazier, they didn't have to. A couple of general Pickens answers would have kept a lid on rumors and crap.
It is a distraction to make teams think we will draft a WR. If the Giants draft a WR at 5, we can now trade up.

I did not say that. I am saying it is all overblown. Fans and media using a few minor incidences to act as if he is a bad apple.
But yet AJ Brown seems to get a pass with the Eagles.

If we stay at 12, I won't be surprised at all if we go WR. SJ pretty much declared we aren't negotiating a long term deal for the guy. So, we have to expect a holdout and no idea when Pickens might report to camp or show up to a game. That kind of uncertainty is something that requires a plan b, unless the plan is to torpedo this season like we did last season.

Pickens has really no logical choice but to play under the tag this year. Otherwise he continues his problematic label and never gets the deal he wants and he loses out on 20 million. (assuming he comes in at game 10) He needs to just go all out on his 26 and 27 tag years and take his 60 million and hope some team signs him then.

That is his hand he has been dealt, partially his own doing I guess, but I never kept up with his history really.

Which is why I can understand taking a WR early if it's followed by a trade of Pickens. Carrying Pickens and say Tyson in 2026 with the defensive issues we have would likely just be a repeat of 2025 where we scored a ton and got scored on at will. Parker, even if good, can't turn slop into filet mignon.

Im confused so why wouldn’t you have an issue with drafting an injury prone Tyson? How do you get Parker weapons?

How is AJ getting a pass when they are about to trade him lol? AJ gets killed in the media.

Whether or not it’d overblown Pickens to me is not a Vrabel type of player. I just don’t see it.
