Crayton is a dope.

I see him on twitter all the time making racial comments.

This is the guy who cost us the giants payoff game yet he still runs his mouth, this is the guy who is career ended when he left Dallas and romo.

Yet he makes all these racist comments on twitter.

He needs to just go away.

Listen to it, he did not say Dez is dumb. The main points were:

http://dcfanatic.com/?p=9380

1. Players not playing hurt, they seem to comfortable in the trainers room.
2. Missing a FB
3. The Cowboys don't move Dez around to avoid double teams.
4. The coaches have not put Tony in a position for success.
5. Rely on the pass way too much.
6. Said it doesn't matter who calls the plays, they need a new OC
7. What is Garrett better at-walk-around or an OC = He said neither
8. Said the next HC needs to be one to light into the players arses.

Whether anyone likes or dislikes Crayton, it is hard to dispute his point of view.

love crayton. hate how he was scapegoated by garrett. everything he said in the interview is on point.

PC is a loudmouth who came up small when it mattered.

But I really cannot argue much with the points he made.

The article said that Crayton believes the coaching staff must think Dez is dumb, not that he is dumb. That is what he said too.

I disagree. Claimed that Romo was making $180 million. Claimed that the coaches were saying that Dez doesn't know the playbook.

The first isn't true and the 2nd I haven't heard. I think at worse with Dez the coaching staff has railed against him for route running and understanding the sight adjustments. And that was last year. This year we haven't heard a peep.

It's not that I disagree with everything he wrote, but guys like Crayton are often ill-informed and trying to make a name for themselves so they can get another payday with a radio station. And knocking the Cowboys sells in Dallas.

So a former player for the Cowboys, who probably still has inside information, can't give his opinion when asked? Like him or not, he won is some games too, and probably has some good know how of what is going on in the locker room.

Most of what he said is spot on and has been brought up here many times.

Exactly, it's ridiculous. He said something negative about our coaches so he must be a bad guy making stuff up!

One of my favorites is the "he's just looking for attention" claim. A radio show that's on for hours calls him up and asks for a three minute interview and he answers a few questions from his cell. Wow, what an attention hound.

I still haven't forgiven Patrick Crayton for his infamous drop in 2007 against the Giants, so whatever comes out of his mouth is meaningless to me.

He says Cowboys coaches are basically calling Dez dumb by saying he doesn't know the playbook. Are they still "saying" that? Did they ever say it? I haven't heard it from a coach. I just hear media and fans say he doesn't know the playbook. Crayton also talks Romo and has an interesting take on the offensive play calling.

Didn't open the link. I don't give a damn what Patrick Crayton has to say. If he would have caught some passes in some important games, I'd have more respect for him.

If there was anyone who played smaller in big games than Patrick Crayton, I don't know who it would be. Now he lecturing us on the Cowboys?

I'll pass, thank you very much. I rather listen to someobdy who has some skins on the wall.

What's next? are we going to have to listen to the pontifications of Troy Hambrick? Are there going to be books written about what Chad Hutchinson thinks the Cowboys have to do to win?

Well let's see:
1. Players not playing hurt, they seem to comfortable in the trainers room. - Umm yup, hard to argue.
2. Missing a FB - Check
3. The Cowboys don't move Dez around to avoid double teams. - Check
4. The coaches have not put Tony in a position for success. - Also hard to argue, but Tony isn't helping himself like he should either.
5. Rely on the pass way too much. - Check
6. Said it doesn't matter who calls the plays, they need a new OC - I would prefer an organizational enema
7. What is Garrett better at-walk-around or an OC = He said neither - Can't argue with that either as both have had similar results
8. Said the next HC needs to be one to light into the players arses. - Won't matter unless JJ STHU and STHOOTW, but OK - check

Did he get locked up too? Man...

BTW, Crayton didn't say the coaches claimed Dez didn't know the playbook. In response to the question that was asked, he said if coaches are still telling the media that after 4 years, he should be offended. I think it was a miscommunication.

I did chuckle when he claimed the earlier Cowboys squads were more mentally tough. I don't remember folks saying that at the time.

Crayton was one of those guys that wanted to win. He actually wanted players to be disciplined during the Wade era. He's right about Garrett and crew. We're going to waste the career of guys like Romo, Bryant, Witten and Ware waiting for Garrett to learn the game. Garrett should be coaching at a high school or college somewhere right now.
