Tackling machine gets rook of week nod… Minnesota RB Adrian Peterson, the 7th player selected at the 2007 draft who currently leads the league in rushing despite missing a couple of games with a knee injury, isn’t the only rookie to be leading the NFL in a major stats category. Indeed, San Francisco MLB Patrick Willis, taken 4 picks after Peterson this past spring, tops the NFL with 110 stops to date this fall. And Willis was at his best this past weekend as the 49ers broke an 8-game losing streak at Arizona posting 18 tackles.
