Lets dummy this down.

Forget getting a WR from Pats - they have nothing there.

Pats are going 4-3 this year for those keeping score at home

We are deep at LB - Ellis and Singleton are the 4-3 guys we are shopping under the radar.....Shanle/Coleman was for the naive smoke screen.....Parcells is funny like that.

Pats may have some Oline depth we could be interested in.

How about if I dummy it down?

If they are shopping Ellis and Singleton, who plays strongside OLB?

Uh, Boiman? Glymph? Carpenter is playing inside now. If they really planned on him contributing out there, they'd be getting him reps out there.

RockyMountainFan? I would have suspected you'd be from a different region of the country.

Our Todd Archer reports that Scott Pioli, the New England Patriots' vice president of player personnel was in Oxnard today as part of "scout swap" - a cooperative effort between the Cowboys and Pats. Cowboys chief scout Jeff Ireland was in Patriots' camp.

For anybody that doubt's The Answer's expertise and credibility....he first broke this story last night after he had a conversation with one of his inside sources in the patriots scouting department.

Maybe Ireland is scouting nose tackles, not wide receivers there. The latter can come from somewhere else.

No chance, the Patriots are really struggling in the middle of their -line in the preseason. They are actually looking to shore up their D-line.

You are truly entertaining. And yes you did say that last night.
P.S. I still don't like Shanle.:)

Never really thoght of it before, but is Troy Brown still a big part of their team? I know he tested the FA market and didn't get much attention before going back to the Pats. He's old now... Would the Pats part with him? He is an old Parcells fave and could return punts...

I could see that happening!

Vela's blog says that NE is looking hard at inside linebackers since Bruschi broke his wrist- thinks Shanle and Fowler will get looked at hard.

I see you've hit the achieves of the old Nors posts to get your material. Even going so far as to take up his claims that he had inside sources with the Pats. You need an original shtick.

I like this one: Jackson, Chad WR 6'1" 205 03/6/1985 0 Florida
I wanted him also. No way we stand a chance of ever getting him now.

Reche Caldwell is currently their best and lead receiver. (with Branch holding out of course)

No way they part with him.

I could definitely see Troy Brown.
Definitely.

The answer is a weak Nors wanna be(fake). Nors was original and ahead of curve.

Gorin is the likely trade target it appears.

i thought i would add this to the post.it is from an article on yahoo i saw today.

Dallas Cowboys
Dallas has had a rash of injuries at the top of their wide receiver depth chart with Terrell Owens (hamstring), Terry Glenn (feet) and Patrick Crayton (ankle) all hampered by leg injuries over the past two weeks. Glenn and Crayton played in the team's preseason opener, which is where Crayton got injured, following an early touchdown catch. He has improved greatly over the past two years, solidifying himself among the team's top 3-4 receivers.
Undrafted rookies Sam Hurd and Jamaica Rector will gain extended reps the rest of the preseason, but expect the Cowboys to check the waiver wire following the first round of cuts. In addition, there’s a possibility of shipping linebackers Kevin Burnett or Scott Shanle to acquire either a wide receiver or offensive lineman.
On the defensive side of the ball, converted defensive end Junior Glymph, who recorded a pair of sacks against Seattle in the preseason game, has taken full advantage of the playing time missed by both Rocky Boiman (thumb) and Bobby Carpenter (knee)
