I would agree with that, but let me say he gets no personel say like he had in Denver.
This! He got carried away with his ego in DEN but he knows offense. Doubt he would want to come here unfortunately:(

Just look at the skill players on that offense compared to what JG has.

They get effective runs out Blount and other marginal RBs, JG runs dives into 8 man fronts with our 4th overall pick.

They dont have any WRs the caliber of Dez yet, they can scheme these guys open by running effective route combinations etc..

So what is a reasonable comparison? What should we expect from Garrett in year six?
Chuck Noll is probably fair, right?

He was facing a superior offense and a superior defense...and was a dropped td away from beating a division rival. I dont think hes anything special but the criticisms people have here are so over the top that its silly.

Bellicheat much smarter than Garrett and owns him on the field. They will beat us like a drum
when they come to play. Garrett's offense is like a rolodex in an iphone world. Jerry
just pimping like it was the 90's.

Garret seems so smug and arrogant to me, like he lacks a conscience, or any regard for his own failures as a head coach. It's truly mind boggling. It has to be his giant inflated ego and sense of "self-importance" that drives his unwillingness to be creative with the offense and try something new. This is how a narcissist is. No one can convince them that their s' don't stink.

Just imagine if Romo was coached under Belichick or John Harbaugh this team would have had a minimum of two Super Bowls.

Romo has covered up Jason weaknesses for years now.

If the losing continues, at the end of the season Jerry should take a personal flight to Michigan and offer Jim Harbaugh a high paying contract with some type of control similar to Parcells and I know this team will make the playoffs next year.

We need a strategic coach badly.

So, in year 6, our expectation should be to be within one score of beating a division opponent. Okay. At least you gave a measurable answer beyond "his players really like him."

Not one offensive starter was drafted in the 1st round for the Patriots last night.

The problem with Garrett is that he has no clue what he is doing. And he knows this so he over compensates for that by being overly conservative. If he tries something outside the box or risky he is too afraid to look bad doing it if it goes wrong. So he maintains the conservative status quo and figures he can scrape by with mediocre.

Garroppolo, no Gronk, no LT Solder, no RG Shaq Mason. Yet, like they have done before, the Pats moved the ball, scored some easy TDs, and won the game. It's because they have a creative offensive coordinator who exploits matchups and puts his best players in a position to succeed.

For years, Romo's stellar QB play has disguised that "Garrett's system" is unimaginative and completely ineffective. Pathetic that he refuses, or cannot, adjust.

Red is no elite coach, for sure. The far bigger issue is drafting and overall player acquisition.

How many of our draft picks over the 5 years are still playing for us. I think we'll find that is the problem, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. We take a high risk reward pick every year hoping to jump skip the process the building the team.

As those picks fail we also don't make any progress. What's different about this year and last year on the defensive side of the ball. No pass rush for several years and none of our draft picks that are meant to address that need stay on the field.

Where else do we need to go then that?

...and the Giants game is almost always a question of whether we get pressure on Eli. Little to No pressure = Giants win or a Romo miracle.
