Patriots into History's Toilet

Hello Cowboy fans,

Been away from me favorite non-Patriot website for a while to recover from the horror of seeing my Patriots Super-Duper choke. My healing was aided by the fact that I live in the gentle state of Wisconsin (where they care not a lick for any win or loss besides those of the Packers) and that my favorite candidate, Obama, did better than expected in the Super Tuesday Primaries. (It is easier to deal with loss when something bigger is given in replacement, I have found.)

If you must mock me, feel free. Never has there been a bigger choke in the NFL, never. It may not have been the biggest upset in terms of point spread, but it sure as heaven was the most upsetting loss for fans. There is also real concern that such an emotional season will leave them weary for 2008.

I have high hopes for my favorite NFC team, the Cowboys, and I think you should as well. The Cowboy fans are some of the best in the NFL.

Good luck.

Takes balls to come back here....

And yeah, it was a huge choke job by your Pats.

But if it makes you feel better, we pulled a big choke job against the Giants too.

I don't think it was so much of a choke. That game was a battle. The Pats just couldn't make a play which is what they've done through this whole thing, they've always had somebody come through and make a big play...this time Samuel had it but couldn't see it through...

Anyway I'd rather choke in the Superbowl than the first playoff game myself.

Yes, I am not one to mock another team's fans. I am also one who does not appreciate it when fans of the team I support act like idiots tripping all over themselves to be classless pinheads.

There may never again be a time when so many NFL fans dislike the fans of another team as much as this past year. Most loyal Patriot fans were like me: quietly hoping to get through the season undefeated, knowing that we were fading as the season progressed.

I hope the Patriots see the Cowboys in the Super Bowl next year, but I have feeling that the Cowboys are the more likely participants.

I don't see the comparison. We took a major L losing are 6th playoff game in a row to a team we beat twice, but going 18-0 and breaking all those records and having a chance at history only to fall to a team you beat in the regular season at the final stage of greatness is one of the biggest L's in sports history.

You could win every game by 700 points and I don't think I'd have the expectation that it means you will win the superbowl. That's just the way I am I guess...nothing is ever a given and you have to earn everything.

But you dont see the difference of what happened to NE as opposed to us?? We've faced bigger losses in our franchise's history, they faced the biggest lost in NFL history.

To me, Houston losing to Buffalo after leading 35-3 is a choke job.

In the case of the Patriots, it was "The Unbeatable" being outplayed for 60 minutes when it mattered most.

We may poke fun at you guys, but it is all in fun...

We certainly aren't going to make it personal as you are a good guy...

Sure it was a tough loss, but you guys had the most wins in the history of the NFL, so it isn't all a wash...

You're always welcome around here...

We can't poke fun at you. You shouldn't have even been playing the Giants.

The '84 49ers and '85 Bears went 18-1 as well.

The thing about the 1 is....

Thanks for trying to make it easier for me, but the fact remains that every team works all season for one goal: To Win the Super Bowl.

To some of you this may sound nuts, but I would rather go 8-8 and win the SB.

This does not make me feel better, as I respect your team and wanted to see them in the Super Bowl against the Patriots (which, it appears, you would have won.) As well as the Pats have played over the last decade, we cannot match your number of SB Rings.

And both of those teams would have beaten the Pats IMO.

Major props for showing back up over here and being humble. I like that. It's classy.

You guys will be fine next year and back in the mix in the AFC.

It takes balls/guts to come back to a discussion forum... anonymous to the world???

:lmao:
The Pats got what they deserved. So did there fans.

It was getting out of hand
  1. Caught cheating
  2. Being smug and playing stupid about it
  3. No suspensions
  4. Players busted for Steroids
  5. Running up the scores
  6. Coach name COY after being busted for cheatin - THAT IS JUST REALLY WRONG
If ya aint cheatin... ya aint tryin.....

So which didnt they do in SB? :lmao:
