Browns and Lions and probably Packers will have good seasons not .500 as you say
Roughly .500, 10-7 to 7-10 area. Maybe they’re a bit better than that, but it doesn’t change the point of the post. The lions aren’t on the Chiefs level (Kelce or not), nor are the Browns many times better than the Bengals

Ah, so 10-7 is the new .500?
Gotcha

I will enjoy the win and rub all the obnoxious Giants fans face in the pile of crap they let on the field. And I will do it all week, next week, next year, etc. I'm a fan and do not need to move on.
You go there big boy!!!!!

Not sure how this is relevant at all

Show us the list of teams that have won 40-0 or better on the road week 1 and had poor seasons

That would be more appropriate
Tunnel vision, hey?

This is relevant due very simply to the fact that a 1 game sample size is too small for huge sweeping generalizations.

Funny how you have to severely narrow the parameters to make some sort of weird point. Bills finished 6-10 that year. Is that OK for you on the 2nd Tuesday of the 5th month but only at 2.36 AM?

Sure— but to use the original example as a “for instance” to prove a point that one blowout loss doesn’t mean much ignores a whole slew of examples of teams that get massacred and blown out in weeks 1-4 and never did anything lol

There is always an exception to every rule, but to select an exception that history has shown is the most successful HC/QB tandem in history doesn’t really prove anything.

Plus— I don’t even know why the OP was made. I haven’t seen any Dallas fans proclaiming we just won the SB or anything lol. It’s a “let’s tap the brakes” post that is unnecessary considering the fact we have all experienced nearly 30 years of futility lol
Then you haven't been paying attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's being screamed about!!!!

Man, how do you guys miss such simple points? I don't get too up or down during the season, especially in the opening game. If you feel that need, have at it!!!!

I feel the opposite. I feel that your post doesn't prove anything at all.

So then why didn’t you compare us to the bills. Comparing us to the patriots made no sense at all. We didn’t get rolled yesterday

I am reserving any form of hype and celebration until post-Christmas. Even then, it will be cautious. Everyone here should understand an NFL season is long and with modern offseason rules, teams come out looking sloppy. Some of those sloppy teams in the first 6 weeks get it together and become power houses down the stretch while others that look dominant burn out.

Good divisional win. It's week 1 though. This isn't the first time we shut out an opponent and then stunk it up the following week. Didn't we do something similar in 2018 or 2019?

And this has been an issue with our team the past few years, we are spotty. One week we are world beaters, the next we are struggling against teams we should dominate against. The first week of the NFL season doesn't mean we turned the corner.

I won't be bombarded with "Just let people enjoy the win!" - Go ahead and enjoy it. Some of us just aren't as easily impressed anymore.

Your post needs more exclamation points lol…

J/K— feel free to tap on the brakes, and tap others to tap on their brakes too. It’s all good
