Capers or campo?

Talk amongst yourselves
Campo. Equivalent records, but won't have to replace him next season.

What is amazing to me is how anyone would want to work for the Pats organization right now.

With all of this crap of Spygate hovering over the Pats organization. I am surprised that Capers want's to be involved w/ Bellycheat.

I wouldn't touch the guy w/ a 40 ft pole, let alone work for him.

Capers probably just wants to be on staff ..... so if
bill is suspended or retires he can step in as temporary headcoach.

Well the replacement angle I get, but as far as records go. I will take capers. I really wanted him to come here just to help in preperation alone.

Oh well. Another good veteran mind added to New England.

Now, how does capers being in New England affect Zach Thomas, seemingly none because he is only the secondary coach right? Who knows though that could be enough to bring thomas on board.

Unless of coarse Lil' Bill should get suspended for a year, then Capers and the entire organization look like geniuses.

Having Capers on staff could have really helped in the zone blitzing department.

In my opinion, Capers sucks just as bad as Campo. Here's the Defensive DVOA rankings for Capers' teams since 2002:

2007 - 32
2006 - 7
2005 - 32
2004 - 18
2003 - 28
2002 - 20

He took over a talented defense in Miami (ranked 7th in '06, 10th in '05, and 7th in '04) and turned them into literally the worst defense in the league.

He lives off his reputation from the 90s, which is about all you can say for Campo. I just can't see why anyone would think he's better than Campo. They both have about a .300 winning percentage as head coaches.

Well that is certainly interesting news.

Brian Stewart's seat just got cooled off a little.

Belichick may go, but the talent is still there. Coaches like to work with talent because it makes them look good.

Can't believe Brian Stewarts pride led to this.

Well... there you go. Maybe one reason why the Patriots continue to be successful (besides the cheating) on the field.

They draft well and bring in good coaches.

I am just surprised he settled for a secondary coach position.

No mention of how long the contract is for. My guess is a one year deal.
