You’re wrongOh noes.
We would not sign him even if he hit the open market.
They decided to tag him when they realized they couldn’t match Stephens honest offer

What they're paying Allen and not to mention the 2 DEs is the reason I'm surprised they tagged him. That's a lot of money dedicated to the DT position in Washington. Payne would likely receive a Jonathan Allen type long-term deal at minimum. Curious to see if Washington tries to get a long-term deal done or merely tag him risking upsetting Payne.
not interested in hargrave.https://www.si.com/nfl/commanders/n...d-to-use-franchise-tag-daron-payne-per-report
Hargrave? The eagles are expected to use their tag on Gardner-Johnson. Tomlinson? Still should have a shot at a decent DT this free agency (if the powers that be decide to get one).
They will sign Pollard, a receiver, a dtackle, and maybe a corner.Don't worry guys, Jerry will spend that money wisely elsewhere. Top notch free agents on the way!
both the ends are on rookie deals, and tbh the defense hasn't missed much with both of them missing significant time. What they're paying Allen and not to mention the 2 DEs is the reason I'm surprised they tagged him.
Hargrave can still play. Being 30 isn't some sort of hard line that guys automatically start to suck after it.not interested in hargrave.
Too old...Cowboys won't do it either at that age.
Apparently that sideline fight feud between Payne and Allen is a far thing of the past ? . - Let Bye Gones be Bye Gones ..?Payne had a great year and I expected them to tag him, but fellow DT Johnathan Allen is considered the better DT and best defensive player.
Or a new sound system for the yacht.Don't worry guys, Jerry will spend that money wisely elsewhere. Top notch free agents on the way!
Wouldn’t mind having Fletcher wearing the star. dude has that dawg in him.Hargrave can still play. Being 30 isn't some sort of hard line that guys automatically start to suck after it.
He showed no signs of decline having one of his best years ever just last year. He can likely play at a high level for 3-4 more years. Shoot, Fletcher Cox is 32 and also had a better year than any of our DTs.
We wouldn't entertain Hargrave. Not because he can't still play. He can. They are just cheap as hell at DT. They wouldn't entertain signing Hargrave if he was only 26.

DT has one of the longest shelf lives of any position in the nfl. Many of the best ones over the last 20 years played well into their later 30’s… and at a high level.Hargrave can still play. Being 30 isn't some sort of hard line that guys automatically start to suck after it.

39 is just getting started for a pro bowl caliber DT. They’re not running backsnot interested in hargrave.

We have decent. Dont need decent. Need a stud.https://www.si.com/nfl/commanders/n...d-to-use-franchise-tag-daron-payne-per-report
