David

a win is a win.

some ammo is best left in the clip.

but feel free to wax poetic how great Sean is, how dumb Tuna is and how Zimmer is incompetent.

I think that was proven pretty much tonight

Parcells isnt dumb though, he is just at the point where the game has passed him by

Zimmer is incompetent

It was a money call ... reminded me of something ballsy Jimmy Johnson would do. Anyone hating on that play is crying sour grapes.

Johnson never would have done an onside kick at that time.

Had it passed him by during the stretch we won five of six?

no doubt, your mind is clouded with Zimmer hate and the like.

the play did NOTHING to effect the outcome and might have caused us to shore up a problem that could have been left to expose later. also other teams will better prepare now when he could have used it when it would have mattered.

teh season's a chess game not bug hunt with an elephant gun.

totally senseless. (like something andy reid would do - and has done - 'nuff said LOL)

You take alot for granted ... there was a ton of time left in the game.

Was a comeback probable ... of course not. But definitely possible.

Well did he do that when he was our coach when ahead by 18?

maybe he didnt, but we had the better teams when we were getting up on people from 91-93

Payton did not have the better talent, so he did what he had to do to put a game away...they probably saw something on film and he made the perfect call at the right time

yah... so you bank on a low-probability play that if it fails give you almost FG position and one strike away from 7.

laughable.

Jimmy was all about taking risks at opportune times ... I think it's a call he'd of been proud to make.

wrong again about the talent but at least you threw in a "probably" this time.

Mike Belotti, the coach of the Oregon Beavers always onsides kick you when they are leading by a couple of Td's. Why? To destroy your morale and to make you panic. Just smart football, not classless tactics by Payton, but a need to survive a Cowboys comeback. Payton has learned his lessons well and we learned a tough lesson tonite. It's learn these lessons tonite or you die in the playoffs-if we get there. :(

I don't recall him ever taking that kind of risk. Just because it worked does not make it the right call.

you can call it laughable all you want, but it was a great call that worked

and so what if we had got the ball in FG range? their defense was eating us up anyway...we had great position on a number of other drives and didnt do jack with it

he had the momentum and a chance to put away a game and did just that

he coached a perfect game today

An onside kick's probability goes way up when noone in the building expects one.

As far as how laughable it is ... I'm sure the Saints are laughing all the way to the bank.
