Obviously you can't stop trying to run. Once you do that, they go into pass coverage exclusively and .. well .. you lose. I was a little frustrated at the repetitive play calling too, but .. WE WON!!!

I disagree, I thought the playcalling was superb today. Kudos to Sean Payton. Frankly, if you score 28 points and the game is close, that's not the side of the ball to be worried about.

Why did he stubbornly send Julius over right tackle in the 4th quarter? It was getting stuffed time and again.

..shorten the game by running and to keep our defense and the SD offense on the bench as much as possible.

I was pretty impressed with the desire to stay with the running even when it seemed it wasn't working. Keeping the 8 guys in the box to stop JuJo opened up things down field all day for important 1st downs.

Against a team as great as the Chargers..and make no mistake, they are a great and talented team..we had to stick to the game plan and it worked well.

Complain about the running game if you want.

But the kickoff prevent return team needs immediate overhaul. Their breakdowns have been happening every game all summer long.

That phase of the game shouldn't be that exciting, folks. It's unraveled and nearly cost us the game and made our defense reel series after series.

Also by staying with the run Jones was able to break a run down to the 2 yard line setting up the 3rd down TD pass to Key. Dallas had to show that we were not going to abandon the running game just because the charger were keying on the run.
