what do you like how we match up vs the Eagles? asking for a friend.

I like our running game. Philly is aggressive and athletic-- but they are not a physically imposing unit. Get out on the edges and run right at them and stay ahead of the chains. Control the clock and wear down their D over the course of the game.

On defense-- I think our style lends itself to limiting Wentz at this point in his career. We have a better pass rush this year, and making him work his way down the field methodically increases the chances he makes a mistake. These two games will be all out wars-- but both are certainly winnable.

Wentz started out hot last year too-- and then cooled off. While there is no denying he's played well so far this year-- I'm not sold he's the next golden boy yet.

I think Dallas takes theee of four vs. Philly and Washington barring major injuries.

If this happens they have a shot, particularly if it's Philly and I like how they match up.

Yes-- we are 1-0 in our division games thus far and if we can handle our business, we can make some noise for sure.

For the record-- I think we split with Philly again this year. We'll need some help to take away the division from them.

i hope we sweep the giants, split with the rest, ill be happy with that. but im not looking for wins this season.

The Cowboys are in big trouble within the division unless things change drastically.

worst case, Eagles sweep us, split with the Skins, sweep the Giants. if by chance, Skins and Eagles sweep us, Garrett lost more than the wins and losses.

I still believe in this team!

One huge issue: Have to do better vs the run

Actually they're tied for 20th in run defense at 118.0 per game and getting rolled at 4.6 (!!!) yards a clip. As bad as that is, there is a much worse stat to this defense.
How about ranking 29th in points allowed and 26.4 per game?!?
Agreed, peaking at the end of the season is what counts - and 2-3 isn't the end of the world. But until they somehow fix the defense in points allowed they will never be able to outscore many teams on their schedule.

Peaking late is all fine and dandy if they are in a position to make the playoffs. I suspect that they will not be in that position, the defense is just too bad and the coaching isn't helping much either

I haven't lost all hope yet but if we sit at 3-5 at the midway point...............

The last two games should have been wins. This team should be at 4-1 if we had been able to muster more consistency on defense.

The good news is that Dak looks good, the running game is showing signs of life, and the pass rush is actually proving itself to be a strength of the defense.

2-3 is far from ideal. But it is also far from being a season killer. The bye week is coming at a perfect time in my opinion. We can get healthy, work out the kinks and get ready for the stretch run. We have all witnessed two 9-7 NYG squads winning the super bowl simply because they got hot down the stretch.

IMO-- This Dallas team still has the potential to be dangerous this year: Good running game, smart QB play, and a possession offense that can protect our defense.

No sugar-coating the situation on defense. But my hope is that Lee and Hitchens calm things down in the middle, and the young pups get better with experience and we start seeing some more plays being made on the back end.

No team is perfect and this young team has been humbled and hobbled. Will be interesting to see how they respond after the bye. Would love for Dak to go to GB in the playoffs and beat Rodgers and flip the script.

I really believed with all the turnover on this team that the start wouldn't be that great when looking at the early schedule. I expect them to be better later on and hopefully they keep it together and start building momentum at the right time.

I've thought about this too actually. Maybe the team can get out all their bugs early and start gelling down the stretch. I'm not holding my breath but I guess you never know. Dallas could not win another game all year or they could get super hot and make a lot of noise down the stretch. Life is strange like that. One thing for sure though, positive energy never hurt anybody. ;)

Garrett can't beat good playoff teams, no matter how well we do in the regular season.
