Bill Cowher's record
1992 -LOST to Buffalo Bills in AFC Divisional Game. (1 and done!)
1993 - LOST to Kansas City Chiefs in AFC Wild-Card Game. (1 and done again!)
1994 - LOST to San Diego Chargers in AFC Championship Game. (2 and done)
1995 - LOST to Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXX. (Super Bowl LOOOSER!)
1996 - LOST to New England Patriots in AFC Divisional Game. (2 and done)
1997 - LOST to Denver Broncos in AFC Championship Game. (2 and done again)
So far he was 5-6 in the postseason.
1998 - Goes 7-9 and MISSES THE PLAYOFFS!
1999 - Goes 6-10 and MISSES THE PLAYOFFS AGAIN!!
2000 - Goes 9-7 and MISSES THE PLAYOFFS THREE YEARS IN A ROW!!!
So after 9 years Cowher had a losing record in the postseason, had no Super Bowl wins, and had missed the playoffs the last three years in a row. Wouldn't you be calling for for him to be fired at that point? Be honest.

2003 - Goes 6-10 and MISSES THE PLAYOFFS!
OK, now after 12 YEARS Cowher had been to the Super Bowl only once and had LOST, was 7-8 in the postseason, and hadn't even gotten into the playoffs in 4 of the past 6 seasons. If you hadn't been ready to fire him after 9 years of failure, surely you were calling for his head after 12 years of failure.
2004 - Lost to New England Patriots in AFC Championship Game. (Here we go again! Fire him! He can't make it to the big game!)
And then finally in 2005
2006 - Goes 8-8 and retires.
Steelers fans and management were patient and after 14 years their patience was rewarded. Mr. Garrett has had only 7 full years as head coach, and he is a recent Coach of the Year. It took Bill Cowher 14 years to win a Super Bowl. Cowboys fans need to give Mr. Garrett at least 7 more years to do the same.

Cower has been to the Super Bowl twice.......1-1.
Garrett has been to the Super Bowl .............. 0-0.
Cower went to the playoffs 6 times in his 1st 8 years. That's 75% of the time.
Garrett went to the play offs 2 times in his 1st 8 years. That's 25% of the time.
Cower is WAYYYY ahead of Garrett. Cower EARNED that patience. Garrett hasn't.
