I was talking about penalties that we need to work on. Those are two false starts that were missed by the refs which would have made it even worse. Our offensive line is a penalty machine. Jump off the hatred of the refs issue and see that we DO have issues with penalties and most of it stems from the o-line for VALID calls.

The call on Kosier was correct, I will give you that. What really pisses me off is that he didnt need to tackle the guy, Barber already had the first down. I really hope Kosier is replaced next year, he is clearly the weak link in the line.

The defense does need to play better however, especially on third down.

I am heading to bed now, I have calmed down. Maybe Jerry can pay the refs off to leave us alone next week against the Vikes:)

A Kosier is just a guy. He's just solid. He's not going to wow you with his amazing play, but he sure does tend to make us shake our heads sometimes with his crappy play. I'll take him over Rivera last year, but we really have to look at finding someone else.

Anybody undercutting or devaluing the Pats in this loss should rewatch the game. They just handed the 'Boys their ***.

Get over it and hope the 'Cowboys do likewise - and work on their obvious weaknesses.

3 NE drives were kept alive by Dallas penalties on 3rd down. They scored 17 points on those drives, and only on one were they in scoring range at the time. Dallas was stalled by a penalty in the red zone that forced them to settle for a FG and had a 4th down conversion in NE territoty negated by a penalty. That's a potential 27 point difference on penalties alone

There's your ballgame right there. You can't beat anyone doing that, you just can't. Granted, a number of those penalties were questionable (at best).
This makes me feel good because I still think we have the guns to beat them. We have 10 weeks to mature into a "heavy hitter" team in this league.

From here out, we need to start focusing on every play. If I were Wade, I would put in a coach just tell Romo on every play, to remind the players not to hold, false start, or any other foolish penalties that can be avoided.

That off sides call on us would've put us back in the game, but instead it gave them a 1st down. We had them stopped.

So from now on, let's clean it up boys and we're top notch.

good post...every time I started this yesterday it got deleted....I love the new regime....I like the carefree attitude....but this is not a team that pays attention to details...look no further than our atrocious tackling (especially on special teams) and our penalites....I mean TO just wipes out his own 23 yard completion....

Yea, but its every week in here. Every week were getting screwed by the refs. If its happening every week then it must not be the refs and we must look at ourselves in the mirror. Discipline fellows. Start blaming the coaches, take your frustration out there.

The reffing has been bad against the 'Boys period. It has been for several years, and I'm not buying the nonsense that it's the players' fault. I remember a stat brought up that Bill Parcells was one of the least penalized, if not the least penalized, coaches in NFL history...until he got to the 'Boys. You're telling me that BP drafted and recruited a bunch of guys who are penalty machines and didn't instill discipline in them after doing it in all of his previous stops?

Do you think with cheating going on in the NBA, the Pats getting away with cheating in the NFL and getting a slap on the wrist, that all is fair and just in professional sports, especially with billions of dollars changing hands with legalized gambling? Do you really think fishy things can't be going on? The only way for people to stop this nonsense is for the fans to speak out about it and not allow it to be labelled as an illegitimate excuse when it's not, because otherwise it's going to continue. You can overcome bad or obviously biased officiating against bad or decent teams if you're talented. You cannot if the other team is on the same talent level as you and it is clearly one sided.

Stop calling those who complain about the officiating as one-sided whiners (I'm not saying you in particular). Not everything is black and white.

I call em like I see em.

Most of the calls legit......right.

The PI on Moss in the zone was legit....right.

How bout you stop telling posters to stop crying when 90% think we got screwed. Just because you dont have a problem with it doesnt me the rest of us dont.....ok:rolleyes:

Would you like to address the calls that the Refs COULD have called against the cowboys but did not?

TO was holding on one play when he was blocking for a run play. Not called.

Another Cowboys player blocked Harrison in the back during the one long T.Thompson run back...was not called.

There were at least one other time the refs could have called offsides on the cowboys but did not.

There were two other times I seen cowboys linemen holding that were not called.

We could have had much more penalty yards if the Refs were TRULY out to get this team.

We played sloppy and some always just want to blame the refs for it.

When you play a team like the Patriots you have to bring your A game, not your B game.

EVEN if you take out a couple of truly questionable calls we still had too many penalties and got away with a few.

We lost to the better team yesterday...end of story.

Did it ever occurr to anyone that perhaps the best team won the game? Not taking anything away from the Boys, they are really coming along, they just aren't as "along" as NE at this point.

Learn from the loss.........don't cry about it.

I am not one that is going to say that the Ref's cost us this game.. they made some very bad calls against us.. but Ref's don't cost teams the game.

However, that one play that you mentioned is not correct.. the player.. Harrison i think, turned his back to the blocker..that is not a penalty and it should not have been called.

I think many of us have said that Sarge. Now I am not talking about the conspiracy of the refs being against us. I think that is nothing more than whining.

I am talking about our team being a little more discipline and knocking off some of the penalties.

I just saw the block in the back and not the other. I will take your word for it that it happened as you said.

With that said, we still were not called for all the penalties. Now I want to make sure people realize I am not complaining about that. It happens every week in every game for every team. It is just how it is. The refs make some bad calls and they miss some calls.

We have to worry about eliminating some of our own penalties and not just try to blame things on the refs. That is my only point.

You know what? I also believe that the pass interference call against Patrick Watkins was bull crap, he was standing still, and RM ran into him.

The referees really needs to be investigated because the leauge officiating is getting out of hand. I believe that most of these referees is making bets of their own. Take the one from the NBA for example... That's one of the reason why these referees in these sports such as NFL, NBA, etc should be investigated because there are things happening in front of their face, they act like they aren't aware of.

I'm a little disillusioned with the NFL this morning.

Sorry, not buying it.

We were up 24-21 when the refs "gave Moss a phantom PI" and basically put 7 on the board for them.

On every one of our drives after that it was penalty after penalty. Witten and TO were not moving at the same time either, that wiped out a play that would have put Dallas at about the 30 if I remember correctly.

Officiating took points off for Dallas and gave points to the Pats. If you do want to see it, fine. But dont tell the rest of us that what we saw didnt happen or had no affect on the outcome of the game.

Essentially Fasano did the same thing as Moss........call was on him like stink on crappoola

Face it, Refs are talkin as they cross paths in the airports.........TO is not gonna get a break, just as ref label a OLineman as a "holder", they apply reputations..........and of course TO got one............are all the refs born and raised in Philly?

The one call that still blows my mind, is the Moss TD that wasn't. If the officals would have continued watching the play it was very clear he lost the ball and had to gather it up against the wall. We had to use a challenge to get it reversed. The TO push out was another. Think about this, the offical did not signal push out because he thought it was a clean catch. I feel they have to change the replay to include the player was pushed out of bounds if he does not have 2 feet in.
In saying all of this NE is and was the better team.

obviously they could call holding on any play. I think a couple of the calls were questionable, but Michael Jordan is gonna get those calls and Dallas played sloppy. NE is better than Dallas, but they are not dominate and if Dallas plays clean they have every chance to win.

No question about the fact that we have to cut down on penalties. How do you line up offsides twice?????????????????:bang2:

The justification for the refs is absurd..

The fact is the complaints are clearly about the TIMING of the calls... let us say Dallas got away with a couple here and there... we still had 3 times the amount of calls against us than the Patriots.. what does that make it, with a couple other calls?

you have plays where Patriots intentionally target the knees of defensive players like Ware...

do you think any of you would be not crying foul if Ware came up with not just a minor sprain, but was out for the season?
