Again...show me where the innocents aka normal student(s) have been punished. Please show me. You can't because they have not. Those that have been punished are the ones who committed the acts to be punished and they did so as the Leadership of the School so the school as a whole (actually mostly just the football program) have been punished.

I don't care if you don't stop whining or you do stop whining. That is something that is an opinion of how to help make this whole mess go away faster that does not seem to compute for the whining penn state fans.

If you want to question me as a mod or how this site is run, you can follow the rules and do so in PMs.

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Whatever.

So the kids at the school are not affected by this? The football players are not affected by this?

Why thank you ...... it was easy actually.

What student has been punished?

As far as affected...they are more affected by the leadership of the school allowing a pedophile to continually molest students on campus and let them get away with it and lie about it then they are by losing some future scholarships for the football program.

Furthermore the football players currently on scholarship are free to leave and go to any other school without sitting out a year and any incoming football players who were offered a scholarship are allowed to go to another school as well.

So who is getting punished again?

And how about we worry more about the kids who got molested, the families of those kids that got molested instead of trying to defend a school whose leadership allowed this to happen.

Shame

Keep posting this kind of stuff. You keep proving you don't know what you are talking about.

What accreditation have they lost.

Please show me.

You can't because they have not.

So your argument in that area is blatantly wrong.

Where shall I begin?

Are the former players who were college champions a few weeks ago but now are not being punished?

Are the kids who are having to transfer to a new school where they will be treated as outsiders being punished?

Are the kids who will have to live with the stigma being punished?

As far as the victims who were molested ...... of course I worry about them.

Only someone so desperate to prove a point would suggest otherwise.

But that is what happens when you lose an argument because you can not argue the points logically.

Shame indeed.

No, it's the reaction when the person you are talking to has no idea what the conversation is about.

But here it is for you in a nut shell since that seems to be the only thing that will get into your head

They are "discussing" the validity or the possibility of losing their accreditation. Most objective viewers would see this as a threat. Their accreditation as a University has NOTHING to do with the scandal as it has NOTHING to do with their ability to teach. THAT is what we are talking about. NOT the football program. NOT the coaches or the President. NOT head of the campus police.

You see, NONE of that has anything to do with the schools ability to convey a top shelf education.

But you don't seem to get any of that. The mere threat of losing this status hurts the students currently enrolled because their degree would now be deemed somewhat suspicious. Also those who have already graduated.

You keep talking about "NOT WHINING ABOUT THE INNOCENT" but who should we stand up for? Or should we do as you say and shut up and just let them get thrown under the bus so people like you can revel in the fact you are bleeding more people over this heinous act by Sandusky?

Truth is, you do not know what you are talking about. But bash away without an understanding. Please. You serve my points well.

Loss of accreditation means that its students would no longer be eligible for federal financial aid and that course credits they earn wouldn’t transfer to other institutions.

Not punished at all

No, what is sickening is that people somehow thinks that a child molester from decades ago has any bearing on the ability of entire college to teach students.

And we aren't the ones that need to shut up. People need to stop acting like this was a university wide issue. Stupid people just want to make themselves look all important and it is embarrassing to those who attempt this.

it is idiotic to think you'd have any university cover up blatant felonies for DECADES and not get called to the carpet for it. PSU's moronic need to self-justify and coddle favor within their small community is only making it worse.

they got off light. they could have easily been given an SMU-like death penalty.

this school didnt just violate laws in recruiting or something of that ilk. they had football officials and admin collude to cover up felonies against children. there is no penalty too great for that.

yes, fire everyone involved and try to move on; but without the sanctimonious we didnt do anything wrong crap.

every time they chirp the make it worse.

but they haven't lost accreditation. they have been told to shut up and accept these FOOTBALL only punishments before major non-football actions occur.

kids have been transferring to better situations and they are losing recruits. they will eventually eat lawsuits though they have insurance to cover the expected costs to a good degree.

they have been hit slightly harder than usc was for paying athletes.

cry me a river.

wearing NCAA shirts and holding hands around paterno's statue didn't help matters for their fellow students. BOT dunderheads trying to coy favor with the alumni by attacking the rulings and filing appeals only makes it worse.

disavow those wack jobs who ran the university the past 2 decades and move on.

serve the friggin football penalties, allow the insurance company to handle the lawsuits and focus on academics.

Shut up or you will really be punished. Sounds like the same criminals they are pretending to hate.

So, they have been told to shut up (sounds REAL familiar) and accept all punishment, no matter what it is, without due process?

Really? It's now laughable reading these posts telling everyone to shut up.

If I had won a national championship...... and people took it away from me because of a child molester that I had nothing to do with I would not just "let it go"

you posited that there was a piling on.
that is stupid.

the ncaa has repeatedly told psu to shut up and take it's medicine. if they do not other actions can and will occur.

psu is not innocent here. they colluded to commit crimes over a very long period of time.

they ignored the safety of children on their own campus.

it doesnt get any worse than that.

You know the rulings were without due process right? You know it was done outside of NCAA standards, right?

Of course you know that otherwise you wouldn't be commenting on something you know everything about, right?

Sadly because of what the leadership of that school allowed to happen those associated with the football program in the past have losing records in the win/loss column and that basically amounts to a big old bag of nothing. Just like Texas A&M now trying to claim they won the bowl game some years ago vs Penn State. Bull Butter...everyone knows that Penn state won the games and the only reason that punishment was done was to wipe out Joe Pa's career all time win record. Again if you should be mad at anybody it is the leadership of the school not the ones handing out the punishment. So yes I admit they are punished by having their win/loss record changed in the history books even though everyone knows they won those games. They were not robbed of a diploma, they face no criminal charges, they face no civil or monetary punishment...but they were punished with a loss of some games in the record book. But they were retroactively punished like many other football programs have been punished for violating rules.

Are the kids who are having to transfer to a new school where they will be treated as outsiders being punished?

No...they can stay at Penn State if they wish...some are staying.

Are the kids who will have to live with the stigma being punished?
Punished by a stigma of Penn State? You could say that. But again that is not the NCAA's fault and I don't see you two blaming the people who are at fault, you two are complaining about the NCAA piling on.

As far as the victims who were molested ...... of course I worry about them.

Only someone so desperate to prove a point would suggest otherwise.

But that is what happens when you lose an argument because you can not argue the points logically.

I am sure you do care about those ...but why is it that of all the outrage you two are showing is towards the NCAA and anyone that is tired of hearing about fans whining about the punishment instead of the outrage at the molestor, the people covered it and more about the victims. Instead we hear more about complaining about the NCAA punishments and the students.

Shame indeed.

Yes it is a shame that you two continually harp about the punishments and how the school got these punishments instead of the man who did the molesting and those that covered it up.

Nary a word is said about those individuals...only that the school was punished.

They don't have the right to tell them to shut up. They have a right to due process which they were denied. And you say "Shut up"? Unreal.

That scum is in jail ..... I think he got off WAYYYYY to easy.

He should have been buried in a fire ant bed.

This thread is about them taking away the university's accreditation.

You always complain about people going off topic in a thread ...... check the thread title moderator.
