But still nothing. The governor should take a step back from exhibiting his Eagles fanship.

The Governor of my State should be trying to lower my sky high property taxes rather then worry about McNabb and Kolb.

He is the main reason for your sky high property taxes. Anytime I see him the theme from The Godfather pops in my head. I have no idea how he is so popular, except in Philly.

Very good point. He's alienating some Pittsburgh-affliated voters. Not a very smart political move. If someone wanted him to shut up, they could call him on that.

He won't be running for re-election so he could care less about whom he offends in Pissburgh-they love him over there too (and that city is MUCH more like Ohio than PA).

If he paid as much attention to the roads in Pennslyvania as he did the Eagles draft i wouldn't have 2 bent rims.

Maybe Andy Reid should comment on his job during PC's?
Correct, who cares what the governor thinks? He is just a fan like everyone else, his opionion on football carries no extra weight.

UT running backs are notorious pot smokers....have been for many years....everyone knew Ricky smoked pot...I think he and other RB's at UT bragged about it.

As far as the governor goes, everyone is intitled to their opinion -- even when they are wrong. McFlabby can't stay healthy, so this was a logical pick. And Kolb with get McFlabby's chunky soup.

I don't understand the reasoning behind drafting Kolb that high either oh well. I like the fact Dallas got their guy in Spencer though

I'm not a scout, but the few views of Kolb I've had look good.
Of course, the few Matt Baker passes I've seen also looked good to me.
Jamarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, and Dwayne Jarrett(and even Calvin Johnson) all were supplied with absolutely no guarantees, expressed or implied.

About 15 months ago, when the Pennsylvania governor's race was still in full swing, I went to a charity dinner with Lynn Swann as the keynote speaker. He had a really good one-liner, "I am a sports commentator who wants to be governor. Rendell is a governor who wants to be a sports commentator. Let's grant him that wish". It got hefty applause because of the truth behind it. Unfortunately for Swann, his campaign was nothing but one liners.

I don't know. Just thought this was funny...

GOP Sen. Brownback asserts Manning, not Favre, is greatest QB

Associated Press

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. -- Note to Sen. Sam Brownback: In Packerland, it's not cool to diss Brett Favre.

Favre

The GOP presidential hopeful drew boos and groans Friday at the Wisconsin Republican Party convention when he used a football analogy to talk about the need to focus on families.

"This is fundamental blocking and tackling," he said. "This is your line in football. If you don't have a line, how many passes can Peyton Manning complete? Greatest quarterback, maybe, in NFL history."

Oops, wrong team to mention in Wisconsin, once described by Gov. Tommy Thompson as the place "where eagles soar, Harleys roar and Packers score."

Realizing what he had said, the Kansas Republican slumped at the podium and put his head in his hands.

"That's really bad," he said. "That will go down in history. I apologize."

His apology brought a smattering of applause and laughter. He tried to recover, saying former Packer Bart Starr may be the greatest of all time, but the crowd was still restless.

"Let's take Favre then," Brownback said. "The Packers are great. I'm sorry. How many passes does he complete without a line?"

"All of them!" more than one person yelled from the back.

"I'm not sure how I recover from this," Brownback said. "My point is we've got to rebuild the family. I'll get off this."
