People need to stop knocking Aaron Glenn

Bottom line: Would either of those TDs have happened had Terence been lined up across from him? No.

Glenn is short and slow, so don't line him up against #1 receivers that are tall or fast.

Newman gave up a touchdown to Mike Williams Sunday. That's about as sad as it gets.

Yeah, he bit the wrong way. It happens about once every 1.5 seasons. No one is perfect.

Glenn has had a fine career but his age has made it more difficult to compensate for his stature against tall wideouts. he is on the downside of his career so he can be upgraded but he's not worthless.

It's a safe bet that Holmgren and Co. are going to try and isolate Glenn.

Zimmer refuses to help Glenn or play him in the slot.

I cringe every time I see the ball thrown his way.

The bottom line is that Newman gives you the "best" possibility of a pass defense against your top notch receivers, so use him:bang2:

I watched some of the Dec 04 game.

Seattle ran a lot of 3 and 4 wr sets on us.

That gives us Henry, Newman [slot], Roy, and Glenn.

Glenn is still pretty fast (faster then Henry, anyway) and his experience is very important. that said, he is too small to be covering anyone like Roy Williams EVER. It just goes to show the problems in our defensive "coaching" that would ever allow that matchup to happen.

Great, now show the picture of RW pushing off about two seconds before that

Uh....4 WR sets = Dime defense

Newman, Henry, Glenn, Reeves/Jones

You should tell Zimmer that. :)

Last week, we stayed in our base on 2nd and goal from the 13.

The resulting TD killed us.
