He gave up two TDs that should not have been. The first was great coverage, he forced the WR as far as he could to the sideline, and despite what the refs may or may not have seen, Williams' right foot never touched the ground. You can see the endzone art in the open space under between said foot and the ground as he attempts to drag it, proving it never touched. Williams didnt catch it.

The second TD, Aaron Glenn, despite giving up 10 years and 5 inches to RW, was in perfect position for an INT. He beat Williams to the spot, had position, and had Roy not MALICIOUSLY shoved Glenn out of the way with BOTH hands, Glenn would have picked it off. It's so blantant that Glenn doesnt even bother arguing, he just threw his hands up in front of the ref as he walked off as if to say "What does it take to get a call?"

Glenn is arguably our second best player in coverage. Had Champ Bailey or Chris McCalister been in the same position, Roy gets called for PI.

How many 3rd downs has he given up in the past month or so (I honestly don't know)?

Henry should be very pleased that QBs have found another player to pick on.

I'm not a big fan of Glenn or Henry.

IMHO, both of them need to go.

We can do better.

Glenn shouldnt have been locked up 1 on 1 with Roy Williams.

Blame the coaching and the play in place.

There arent many third corners better than Glenn, if any at all

I'll blame the guy who had to cheat to catch it over a player he had nearly half a foot on.

Sure.

See Commanders 2005 game [14-13 loss]

Watch him against Roy Williams last week.

He hasn't made a play in a while.

I really cant see the guy being back next season.

Rod Hood is pretty sweet. I don't know if he's better than Glenn, but without stats, completion numbers, how they're used, that's pretty subjective.

I agre, and that's my point. Glenn still has the ability to start for many teams, and even without seeing stats it's easy to say he's one of the best nickel corners around.

I agree on Hood though, he is good, and because he's younger, I'd take him over Glenn right now, though I don't think he's necessarily better

Last year there many nickel CBs with better stats than Glenn.

Considering he's playing worse this year than last, I would assume that to be true this years as well.

He had 4 picks last year, which is very good for a guy who isnt on the field more than half the plays, at most, ina single game

Seems like he knows how to turn around and play the ball (prolly cause hes been in the league 12 + years), but doesn't have the physical tools that Newman and Henry have. He could start on a lot of teams, and I love having a vet on that side of the ball to go with Fergy.

I'm not one of those people who puts a lot of merit into interceptions stats, really.

I'm talking about completion percentages, etc.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I would like to know what nickel corners in the league you would take over Glenn. You would use statistics to make that determination?

HeavyHitta is right. People do need to lay off of him because we are fortunate to have a third cornerback of his caliber. Not many teams can boast that. He did an excellent job filling in for Henry last year and if he had to start immediately, we would have little drop off.
