we played sloppy. you can debate that til the cows come home but Dallas should NOT have been that sloppy. What gift did the Cowboys give them other than ebing sloppy and the Giants capitalizing where we stood there watching them? we should have put the game away early, yes i know its division and its never that easy, but if anyone really beleivved last year we were a 12-4 team, than cleaning up on a hurt Giants team should have been a given. The onus was on us to win. the mere fact the giants kept it close and should have pulled it off iis more a testament to their coaches. They took weaknesses and made them strengths. Rod made his unit work and except for a few plays, really did well considering. If teh Giants just take the sack, we lose, or the whole ending goes faster. It was a bigger gift by Eli to forget how many time outs we had left and he said as much. Which play from the Cowboys really said "what the bleep just happened" except for the sloppiness?

The onus was on us to win? Hmmmm not sure if you was watching but we did win. Point blank game over. Yards, turnovers, catches, missed assignments, drop catches etc. means nothing cause game over we got the W and the Giants got an L. There isn't any points for winning with style. Great teams find a way to win no matter what and we did. Damn can't anybody be happy for a win over a hated division opponent? You would think we lost everything and have no chance at post season the way you guys talk.

I'm always happy for that win baby, so what we played like ****. Look at it as a warm up preseason game for the starters except our W stays and means something

I thought it was over at around the 8 min mark.
I never thought the giants would do something as dumb as that 3rd and goal play, but they did.
cowboys offense came alive there at the end with dez out, that was odd.

The game would not have been over or different had Eli run taken the sack or if they had called a running play. It would have run more time off the clock, but it would have just caused Linehan/Romo to change the play selection on the final drive.

The Giants were extremely lucky to even be in the game, much less have the lead. The Cowboys gave them gift after gift after gift, so the one gift of Eli throwing the ball away is a nice-to-have, but not a must-have thing. Let's put it like this, if you gave me the option of having the Eagles turn the ball over 3 times next week or Romo throwing an incomplete pass which stops the clock and gives the Eagles another 20-30 seconds on the clock at the end of the game, I would take the 3 turns overs because in most cases, 3 turnovers wins it for you.

The game is 60 minutes long, not 2 minutes. Winning on offense at the end of the game is no different than winning on defense at the end of the game by holding the other team out of the endzone. The only thing that matters is the final score.

The Cowboys won .. despite the many gifts they gave the Giants, the Cowboys won. There are many what-if's and what-could-have-been's, but in the end, there is only one thing that matters .. final score .. and the Cowboys had more than the Giants.

I said it was over. Then they passed on 3rd down and I looked at my wife and said that may have just won the game for us.

we had 3 turnovers. a gift of a PI call....

The Giants aren't that good; Play like that against the better teams, and we ................................................................Lose;

It was a good win. But I dont feel so good about the team going forward....

What? Dallas spots them 13+ points, three turnovers and they win with two flawless drives when points matter?

And you call that luck?

I call that football.

You're right tho....it was good win. You just don't realize it.

No offense meant......

And the Giants got sloppy at the end of the game ....... you sound silly trying to say one is a gift but not the other.

again, we had less of an excuse. unless some posters want to proclaim that last years 12-4 doesnt count, because teh way some sounded just by the offseason, taht 12 -4 was legit. Well if thats teh case, no way does this team look like that team. So will posters just use whats convenient, you tend to think so.

I for one, do not expect that from thsi team. not that bad and not that horrid of play calling. Unless you knew exactly how the game would turn out, which, ill give you the freebie. I know the Giants games are the hardest, so dont play that card. But this team didnt look to come out playing against a team they clearly know. They seemed to have game planned for a better team and it just ended up GIants stood up harder than Dallas could have guessed. The onus was on us to win and win much better than that. We had less problems but if you look how each team played, the Giants seemed to have covered their warts and we just kind of shown ours a heck of a lot more. Some very bad plays by a "not as good as we thought" wr corp. Not horrible running from teh RB corp, And our defense gave up some rough plays at the wrong time.

I actually expected the offense to handle thsi one better, and they dropped the ball and the defense kept giving the offense the time to do it.

The Giants manufactured 2 of those turnovers, and was in perfect position on the Romo to Witten turnover.....

That was a good strip on the first turnover. and a heck of a hit on the Street turnover...

Its a rivalry game ....... I do not see why people cannot understand that you can throw records and everything else out the window in a rivalry game.

Was at the game and kept telling people this game isn't over.

Defense was pretty stellar all game.

Offense just kept giving them easy points.

We were able to move the ball with relative ease all game long. We just had a number of miscues and self forced ones. Once we settled down they couldn't stop us.

I've seen Tony Romo do this far too many times to count that man out. If you don't think he's a superstar quarterback you don't know football.

yes, or if they kneeled or sat on it. clearly they played it to give us more time. They goofed it, for sakes mAN they admitted it. If the guy is admitting it, beleive him on it. They gaveit back to us and made it easier. they said as much.

i understand that, BUT clearly coming off a 12-4 record, (which again, people want to point to when its in their best interest) vs a injured team should have gone a lot better. We played liek crap on offense and our game plan didnt seem to match our opponent.

I sent a purposeful text to my sis-in-law conceding a loss after that catch at the 2 or 3 for a first down - it was a reverse jinx

points always matter.

Call it whatever you want to call it. I call it lucky, when a team wins, after being down by 3 points, a minute and a half to go, and the opposing team has 1st and goal with the ball on the 2 yard line.

Lets play that scenario out about 100 times, and see how often they win?

I though it was over when OBJ caught the first down. I was ticked off. And then my kids and my wife , led by my 8 year old, started the lets go Cowboys let's go chant...my daughter said "Dad, leave the room if you're going to have negative vibes. We need positive mojo right now. " So, I just joined in with them. What an awesome moment it was!!!
