I'd have to say no thanks, unless he'd come super cheap.

Price is obviously a concern. I mean if he wants $8MM for next year, certainly not. But I'd pay $4-5MM for him, easily. He can still rush the passer. You likely won't be tied to him beyond this coming season so he's not a cap problem. It's looking like there might not be much in terms of proven pass rush help at 28 in the draft.

So I'd sign Peppers then draft a project DE like Willis or the kid from Villanova in the 2nd round.

General consensus here on CZ (including me) was that he was finished when he came available from Chicago back in 2013.

25 sacks later it's obvious he still had a fair amount of gas in the tank.

I wouldn't be opposed to a 1-2 year with not a lot of guaranteed money. He would have been the best pass rusher on the team last year, easily.

His ability to only play a year or two more doesn't really fit with the Cowboys' new philosophy of drafting and building from within, but if they can get him cheap and no one is available via draft and FA, he might work as a stopgap as some pash rush is better than no pass rush.

Agreed. Heck ive been a fan of the guy since he was a BB star at unc, I keep saying we are close, we just need one or two pieces. I don't know what he's got left, but we should atleast check it out.

I think peppers will go for 6-8mil avg. Dallas can easily get that. I dont see why they said limited snaps. The guy plays alot of snaps every yr. He reminds me of Bruce Smith. Just a guy who got sacks until he retired. The great ones just get it done.

Kpassagnon is not doing to be a DE for a 4-3 team. more like a 3tech

A much better fit than Ware. He stays healthy, and fits the scheme better. I'm not even sure you could play Ware 15 snaps a game and expect him to remain healthy at this point.

The year or two free agent is the way they have been filling in the roster, the question with Peppers is how much?
