Wow kindred spirits, that was exactly what I was thinking. It's especially cool you were able to infer it without me even remotely suggesting it. Impressive sir.

For the right price, I'd be all over him. Great presence in the locker room and can still provide some pass rush in limited snaps. It might only take a one year deal to get him too.

.....Or who the sacks were against.7.5 sacks last year
no idea how many pressures
or how many downs he played to get the 7.5 sacks.

Not exactly. They haven't paid aging veterans with only a year or two left, like Peppers, with much frequency. They have signed guys who, if they produced, they'd sign for additional years. That is why I referenced his inability to play more than a couple years in my post. The year or two free agent is the way they have been filling in the roster, the question with Peppers is how much?

They have signed Jack Crawford, Mincey and Selvie to one or two year contracts as they were roster fill in players.
Mincey retired after his two year stay at Dallas.
I am not claiming they are going to pay big money to an aged veteran, if that is what you meant then I agree.
However, Dallas will sign bargain vets with age as a roster fill in with experience like Mincey to one or two year deals.
Further, they have recently been focused on the draft and developing from within generally speaking but have been utilizing the one or two year contract strategy on some of these lower tiered free agents.
If Peppers is asking for a long contract or big money then you are right on the money but if he were reasonable financially and was interested in a one or two year deal I think they would listen.
I think that's what some people think when you suggest signing an older vet. That you are willing to spend a lot for him. Except no one really is saying that.
Peppers would be a solid addition at the right price.
I would not mind that one bit, but I think peppers would be more helpful, if we can hold on to guys like Crawford and draft well,Dallas could probably grab freeney and ware for the price of peppers.
