I'm not blaming Garrett,I'm just simply stating that other teams don't have a RASH of injuries like we do. So while I agree, you can't prevent all injuries, some teams are doing a better job at avoiding them.

If the other teams do a better job of preventing injuries wouldn't it be wise to try and follow what the other teams are doing in terms of conditioning? I bet it has to do with warm ups and not enough stretching. Or placing our players into heavy contact drills which other teams would ease their drills slowly up to a full contact. I maybe rambling. But there is something weird why we have so many injuries compared to other teams.

It started when Woicik returned. It might have to do with the weight training regimen.

It's not even close to being better than what we had last year. Melton and Mincy for Hatcher and Ware is not an upgrade.

They are an upgrade if they are healthy all season, and can contribute. Ware had no business playing in that saints game when he could barely walk. Actually the coaches should have pulled him. A back up OL to replace him would have been better.

It's obviously the way we Practice. Chip Kelly and the Eagles don't get injuries like this and about every player that has left says we practice wrong...

Heard that, but I don't buy into it in any way, shape, or form.

Well the defense that was in desperate need of a rebuild loses a piece of that rebuild.

There is something wrong with the way this team practices, warms up, something.

They just have too many guys getting hurt all the time.

How do they know where they are at are practicing right?

Oh, and another Chip Kelly can do no wrong post....
And he had to make the playoffs with a Tony Romo - less team, which our worse defnse played them well [both times], only to lose in the playoffs....

Repeat from other 13 page thread on this:

This is bad but I'm not sure we should be gnashing teeth over a guy who we hadn't seen and who many scouts said needed development in strength and who lacked some speed. If he was the key to not being worse D, then the team did themselves a disservice.

Guess his crystal ball was down at the time...the part that says injuries are part of the game that can't be predicted...

You are making my point, Injuries are part of the game.

we traded our 3rd pick because we MUST have an edge rusher and without him, our defense will be same as last year. So Jerry was going to get him at ANY cost

He could return and wreck havoc as a pass rush specialist in the mide of the season . A rotation of Selvie , Crawford, Spencer seems solid . I predict Selvie will have 8-10 sacks this year.

FO has attempted to rank teams based on "adjusted games lost", which takes into account both players lost and lost production do to injured players who are starting. The second half is subjective as it's based on the injury status and teams could classify similar injuries differently, but I would doubt that it's really a huge factor overall.

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2014/2013-adjusted-games-lost

Over the last 2 years Dallas' rank is pretty low (so a lot lost) but far from the worst.

The problem for Dallas is they continue to suffer the majority of there injuries to the front seven exclusively.

We are not snake bitten. Every team has injuries. San Fran is down 2 RBs already. It's a tough sport.

They say the first 10 days of Camp is when 90% of the injuries happen.....an adjustment period from the players off field training in shorts and tennis shoes to an training camps environment of 11 on 11 drills in Cleets and some pads....the knee's and ankle's need time to adjust to football conditions..... Coaches need to adjust......

He is a ROOKIE.....when is the last time a ROOKIE wrecked havoc as a pass rush specialist......Rookies are not franchise saviors.....Cowboys need Melton, Selvie, McLain and Mincy to produce.....the ROOKIE is 2-3 years away from a 10 sack plus year....

all teams suffer injuries. need depth to counter that.

I don't expect much from him. if he gets 2-3 sacks, it would be a big accomplishment. keep in mind he is going to miss training camp, when majority of teaching is done. having to rehab and get ready physically. to having to play critical games. plus he is a Rookie DE, which normally don't do much in their first year anyway.
