It’s hard to watch the NFL over the past 20 years or so and NOT think something is off..
I don’t think it’s “scripted” per se. Too many would have to be involved so tossing that option.
The only two explanations are:
A) GROSS incompetence: multi billion dollar business who refuses to pay and hire fulltime, competent officials and keep them together as a crew.
B) Officials purposely putting their thumb on the scale in key moments to swing games.

The whys are another matter. Additionally, you have a former NBA official who came out and openly admitted to doing B) in the NBA. Yes yes he was “discredited” and whatnot immediately, which of course he would be by a multibillion dollar business with so much to lose. So there it is, you have to pick one.

The funny part is, the whole basis of this nicely constructed post from the OP, was to point out how dumb the conspiracy theorists are.

Yet, with no shame or embarrassment, a good percentage of posters here open their mouth and admit they truly think that.

It's like, if ur a 12 year old kid who's a bit backwards and still believes in Santa Claus, and ur sitting with a group of other 12 year old kids, and they're all making fun of little kids who still believe in Santa Claus,.. and because ur "slow" it never occurs to you to keep ur mouth shut and re-evaluate that what the smarter kids are saying might be true,. And instead u open ur mouth and announce "Santa is real!" , setting urself up for years of torture and ridicule in school.... all because ur just too slow to know what's what and keep ur mouth shut.

That said, it shouldn't be a surprise, as you can easily look up the most educated states online...and surprise surprise Texas is right at the top of the most uneducated states in the country. That's why Jerry Jones is so popular: if ur a C+ student like Jones, surrounded by millions of D- students...(and ur F student son) ...they think ur a genius. Man, that giant silver bar by the Cowboys in that chart is embarrassing, only to be supported by so many posts here. Duuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh

If you even have suspicions your driveway isn’t any closer to reaching the road than the fans who tweet and post about it here. I can only imagine what else you might have suspicions about. Lol
@Well don't pay me any mind just a Bozo, nothing more.

We’re #1!

Keep in mind this data comes from Twitter, using tweets from the last month of the season, so it might not be the most statistically accurate representation in the entire world.

However, I still think it’s interesting. From my observation, the teams that underachieve are near the top, the winners are in the middle, and the fans of losing teams are merely aware their team is not good and there isn’t any rigging going on.

That is flawed.

There are far more tweets in general by Cowboys fans; therefore more of any category of tweets relative to all tweets by NFL fans.

It is unlikely they could get an accurate count anyway.

What benefit is there to keep the team that draws the most viewers from not advancing past the divisional round every year? Why make the Patriots win constantly? If it’s scripted then they need new writers.

Are there also more tweets in general by Rams, Broncos and Cardinals fans than there are by Patriots, Saints and Giants fans?

Patriots and Giants fans should be complaining about conspiracy or cheating...

The Cowboys have far more haters than fans. Exponentially much more money is to be made keeping the Cowboys out of contention.

He said the Cowboys are the biggest viewers draw. That's indisputable. If ratings = $$$ like so many around here say then how does the haters not watching the Cowboys deep into the playoffs make more money than the haters watching the Cowboys that lead to the NFL's highest rated games year after year?

And the NFCG doesn’t need the Cowboys, because it garners a huge audience automatically.

Why? People watch wrestling knowing it's scripted and love it. Besides, that's a weird poll or whatever it was. Scripted is totally different than fixed or rigged. I don't think they are fixed or rigged either, but scripted is totally out there.
Absolutely not. In wrestling they know they’re going to have a rematch and who’s going to hold the crown eventually. That’s an individual accomplishment. This is a team a franchise not going to happen.

The things some fans need to tell themselves to rationalize 28 years of playoff futility.

That doesn't surprise me when you look at some of the nonsense that gets posted on this site.

I’ve said it before: It would be in the NFL’s interest to exert a little influence over games, and it would only take 3-4 referees in the entire league to do so. Not fix the games, per se, but make timely calls that kept games close or even influenced a win (or loss). I don’t think it happens, but it wouldn’t shock me if a bunch of billionaires conspired to make billions more, and keeping the product exciting absolutely is worth billions. Look at MLB. Half the teams have no shot at post session play after game one of the regular season.

Doesn’t matter. We’re going to the SB next year, obv.
