Percentage of Overall Fan Tweets About The NFL Being "Scripted," "Fixed," or "Rigged"

As my friend says, you have to be better than the other team and the refs....meaning the refs mistakes for both sides....as we know it happens to all teams both sides of the ball.

Be a better disciplined team and over come it all.

If we can ever get a 1st half lead and keep it, then any of those perceived bad calls should not matter. how many times in a close game we have a player do something dumb and it cost us. And the penalty turns out to be a legit call.

You didn’t make that comparison, but I’ve been chatting with a couple of posters who did. I’ve seen others in the past make the same ridiculous comparison. I had a chat with a fan a couple years ago who was convinced that the winners of NFL games and the Super Bowl participants are predetermined by the league.

2)Subjective penalties like roughing, holding and interference can influence outcomes.
3)Stats prove the frequency of these penalties, but no stats are kept on the timing of these penalties.
4)History has shown malfeasance in every sport.
5)The NFL makes billions.
6)NFL owners are arrogant and greedy, and loyal to no one.

This is a ridiculous standard. It's professional sports, both sides of the ball have some of the most talented and brightest minds competing - games are typically going to be competitive and close.

NFL games don't have to be scripted. All it takes is a well timed penalty flag at a crucial moment.

Just more proof we have the dumbest fans. There’s been countless threads started here by fans claiming the league is fixed and is biased against the Cowboys. Don’t know why they even bother to watch the game if they believe that.

If you replace dumbest with most then your post is fairly accurate. Me - I live my life with the thought that ANYTHING is possible. Walking around acting like the league could no way be corruped by an outside source is just lazy. In fact - I envy people who can live their life so asleep.

Not really your argument - your argument was that teams need to "be better" to overcome bad calls, as if they should be blowing out teams every week. That's not realistic and it's a silly notion. Again, bad calls are on the league and refs to fix, that's not the teams fault. But that's not all teams are up against, it's not even just blatantly bad calls but inconsistent calls.

It's like fans have done a total reverse on things, first they make the league out to be a cloaked soap opera creating drama to now white knighting for poor refereeing and rules.

In 1992 internal NFL documents came out stating, "Alright, fine! It's been a while for the Dallas Cowboys so let's give them a mini dynasty. Place your bets now, fellas." So we just have to wait until the scriptwriters get to that point again and then we'll be champions again. Or until the kids of those 90s scriptwriters grow up and want to honor their parents by following in their footsteps. Just be patient.

T-Day game 2 years ago. Brown had not had a DPI all year, and then he gets what 2 or 3 late in the game and in OT on very questionable calls. Then received no more for rest of the year.
Those calls decided the outcome of that game.

I remember that game against the Raiders. I remember wanting him off the team after that game. Because I literally saw high school students play CB better. But I do agree that whole situation was weird.
