I cant believe that Leach would so be irresponsible.

Evidently leach did not deny any of the accusations about what took place. The man should be fired. I have no issue with hardnosed coaches but there are certain boundaries you don't cross

I saw one name, and it was reported he is friends with James. One against several, based on other readings posted here on this board and elsewhere.

Well here's 3 names that went on the record. I haven't seen any on the other side yet, but I haven't looked.

Texas Tech defensive back Taylor Charbonnet on Leach’s treatment of teammate Adam James: “I didn’t like it at all. I didn’t agree with it. I don’t know why Leach did that.”

I heard the same thing lastnight and it was enough for me to think Texas Tech did the right thing by firing Leach

Leach has not denied doing what he has been accused of. He no doubt has kids who has played for him and likes him he also has some current players who have stood up and said what he did was wrong. I will say it as well what he did was wrong and deserved to be fired for it and lucky the James family is not sueing the school over this. You assume Leach is innocent and it was all James fault yet you know less about James than Leach who again did not deny what took place.

I wonder why? If you are not guilty of something, you would fight to clear your name. I tend to believe there is truth to both side. I think Adam is who they say he is, but I think Leach cross the line for what he did.

And if he was such a talentless malcontent, WHY on God's green earth would you keep him around FOR THREE YEARS!? Seems that scholarship spot could'a been used more effectively?

Craig James hates the Longhorns with a passion, no Longhorn fan is supporting him or his prima donna kid. Leach is an *** clown that was gonna get himself fired sooner or later.

They are pretty damning about the Kid in question. From various coaches and players.

Now that does not take away from what is right or wrong in the situation but it can not be denied are act like they are not there either.

I have to believe that there are truths and lies from both sides on this issue. I also happen to think they wanted to get rid of leach because he and the chancelor or board did not get along well and would not be shocked if some of the boosters did not get along with him.

He seems like he has a huge ego and sometimes School boards, Heads and boosters do not get along with some coaches that do not go out of their way to see things their way.

This would not be the first, nor the last time, there have been arguments or agendas to get rid of a coach or a coach doing things to get out of a contract.

I think there had to be some big egos clashing here for him to be suspended and fired so quickly.

Once again this is not to say that Leach is not guilty of anything.

But I do think the Texas fans being homers or haters towards the red raiders plays a big role in how some, NOT ALL, in here view the situation.

Being someone that does not care for either team has no bearing in how I view this.

Also add into it that my team a couple years back went with our coach/school and I can view how some things go down and the ego clashing involved.

I'm a longtime Longhorns fan but also a friend to Craig James, it has been years since I last time I saw him but I always considered him a good guy. As for his son, I can't say if he is or isn't a prima donna and I'm not sure how anyone else on this board would really know that.

When you talk to people who have daily contact with him, you get a pretty good idea of someones personality.

As I said I don't know his son so I can't speak to that but by your reasoning there are current players who are standing up against leach that should also give you a good idea. I am a Longhorns fan but have never had anything against Texas Tech, heck I’ve pulled for them over the years as they played Oklahoma and Texas A&M. I think Leach has done a very good job there as well but Mike Leach is not denying what was done and if that is the case then he should go. I don't say that with any bias. If that was my son I would be kicking leaches butt all over the school, I don't care who the hell leach thinks he is what he did was dead wrong no excuses what so ever

Forgive me but I have sat in courts and heard a lot of lawyers stand in court and spin away, like you I'm sure there is some truth and lies and or some exaggerations from both sides

Besides Tech beating the Horns last year I love the Red Raiders. Living here in aggieland it's been great watching aggie fans hanging themselves over the Red Raiders the last ten years, till this year of course. as a matter of fact aggies are the only fans I know of that care enough about Tech to hate them.

The point was not to say whether the lawyer was right or wrong...the point was you said he did not come out and deny anything...when his lawyer did for him. Not arguing with you, just making a point.

The one thing I would like to find out is the room for post game pcs vs the kids cell phone video from his camera which seemed to show two different areas. I wonder if the kid took this as he was in there or if he took it after all of this mess came out and just went to a different room.

I say this because if the allegations are true that the coach had guards there to make sure he was not leaning or sitting, I am sure they would not just let him pull out a cell phone to take videos and/or talk. Just something curious about that and the allegations not working together.

Besides Tech beating the Horns last year I love the Red Raiders. Living here in aggieland it's been great watching aggie fans hanging themselves over the Red Raiders the last ten years, till this year of course. as a matter of fact aggies are the only fans I know of that care enough about Tech to hate them.
