They did in fact pay and did in fact save them from dying. Remember, the rest were killed.

They only "saved" them so they could make money off of them...otherwise they wouldn't have payed for them.

What about the rest of those dolphins that they KNEW where going to be slaughtered?

They could have "saved" them if they wanted to...but they couldn't make money off of them...so they didn't.

So remember guys ...... if you go to an animal shelter ...... you have to buy ALL the animals ...... or none at all.

You can't. I buy them all up and sell them to China. What do you think is in your dog food-cat food-horse food-killer whale food?

I am PETA..here me be outlandish and claim the rediculous so that I at least feel my organization matters.

Having to resort to the stupid and extreme, tells you just where PETA is at today.

Embarrassing much? I could never support an organization like this which is obvisouly run by a bunch of agenda driven fanatics who aren't even up on what they are crying over, so the fall back is outlandish and the rediculous in the hopes that someone reads the headline.

Oh its Tuesday? We need to file something stupid w/ the courts....GO !!

Why didn't you buy the dolphins? You could have saved them too.

I'm sorry. I don't look at Sea World and think. They should be punished for being bad people. I look at them and say, well. How it occurred is questionable, but at least they saved one of the dolphins.

I think you need to re-evaluate your holier than thou view on things. This is what the world is. You try to do what you can, but you can't go overboard on the little things. Sea World didn't commit some horrible atrocity here. Their error was in dealing with people who did commit a horrible atrocity.

Think about the dog story posted above. Those people just paid money to someone who they felt were going to commit an atrocity. They are paying for him to do it again. Sure they saved all those dogs, but the money is in place for him to do it again. They are guilty in the same light as Sea World.

You have a PETA view here IMO. Good intentions taken way to far.

Sea World could have done it...most people who go to animal shelters don't have the resources or I bet they would.

I would if I could.

Besides...I don't know of any animal shelter that does massive slaughters all at one time...they do at least give the animal a chance to be adopted.

I support no kill shelters.

Stop quoting this cat, please? He resides on far to many ignore lists and you are bypassing all of the awesome filters which keep the culprit in check.

We thank you.

ConcordCowboy is a good guy and I believe he cares about the animals.

Me and him disagree on a lot of things ...... but I do not question his motives and respect his love for all animals.

Being a big PvP guy, I'm surprised you don't play FPS. Why is that? Nothing better than exciting fast paced competition to the death! :laugh2:

Speaking of PvP and our history of MUD. Not sure I ever showed you this, but it's a text based PvP MUD (MajorMUD format) that is modeled after FPS death match. You PvP in different maps and they cycle like say Quake death match would, etc.

ArenaMUD

I wrote it in Python using the TwistedMatrix framwork though it's not complete yet. Still lots to do. My buddy (you may remember him as Catch22 on Argus) started to learn Python to help develop it, but we haven't had much time to work on it lately. It is actually playable though. It could definitely use some good maps though.

Because I flat out suck at FPS and am usually the one being camped and tea-bagged.

That and the fact I threaten every 14 yr old doing it with violence.

I don't care if they live in Tuscany. I will find them!! ;)

I really should give them more of a chance, but my old Doom/Quake days ruined me.

I will def check this out later. I miss the old Argus MMUD days and the crazy crap that went on on that board.

And you're missing the point...they didn't save them out of the goodness of their hearts...it was to make money.

I think you need to re-evaluate your holier than thou view on things. This is what the world is. You try to do what you can, but you can't go overboard on the little things. Agreed...but I don't think of massive slaughter of dolphins as a little thing.

I wish they didn't give those people money...but it's what they had to do...Sea World only did it to make money...not to really save any dolphins

You have a PETA view here IMO. Good intentions taken way to far.

If it means stopping the slaughter of dolphins...call me Mr. PETA.

And of course that includes Polar Bears.

:D

Yes I would think anyone who has ever read my posts...knows exactly how I feel about animals.

I'm very passionate about them and their protection.

Worse things happen to the animals we eat every day..

Animals are food. Should they be treated inhumanely? No not at all. But rallying for the cause of one animal while excluding others has always confused me.

I don't see why it matters why sea world bought them. They didn't do anything wrong before, during, or after the purchace.

People who buy drugs support terrorism.....
