So everyone with throwing out their ideas as who will be the next HC of the Cowobys. While reading the PFT Rumor Mill (insert laugh here) This is what I came across.

Players on the Cowboys saying that Parcells will not return.

USC OC Steve Sarkisian has withdrawn his name from the Raiders HC consideration. Some believe that it is because of the recruiting weekend others due to his desire to become a college HC.

Has Sarkisian been earmarked to take over the USC HC when Pete Carroll leaves?

The only reason I consider this is the fact that while listening to Sirius NFL radio today they brought up the fact that JJ was awfully quiet during this time. They believe he already has plan B in place and waiting. So he has to know one way or the other what Parcells has decided.

If JJ knows what Parcells is doing, he has a plan in place for the next coach.
Has he been in contact with Carroll to gauge his interest?
Has he offered Carroll a blank check to convince him to come aboard?

I just can't believe that JJ would be left holding the bag and letting the crop of coaches available, get picked over by the rest of the league waiting for Parcells decision for next year.

Crazy idea....yes. But then again anything is possible. :D

I will give you points for originality. Well done.

Pete is the ultimate college coach and he should stay at his cushy job and add to his dynasty.

Well some are saying the NCAA could deal USC a big blow because of the Bush situation. I'm betting the NCAA will leak this and PC will find out if something major is coming down. If he leaves you can bet USC will have major scholarships taken away. If PC stays, you can bet the inside word is USC will be given minor sanctions that he can accept.

I don't doubt it, but PC is a college coach and should avoid a return to the NFL.

If I were him, I would stick it out at USC...the Bush situation, as far as I know, was beyond his control.

Just some scuttlebutt from some in the media. Not sure if USC will ever get hit on that or not, but some seem to think they could and if so you can bet PC will hear about it. He may indeed decide to stay at USC, but if he doesn't i have to agree he'd be better off in the NCAA.

if he ever leaves LA he is an idiot

no lie dude, and all that hottie SoCal trim he would be missing too.

some things, are not worth giving up

:)

He'd be dumb to leave, men like Darrell Royal and Grant Teaff and Joe Paterno were smart enough to know their gigs were lush and that moving on to the pros when the opportunity was there was not for them.

Some men are just great college coaches and prefer and should remain at the collegiate level.

geez, it's kinda hard to believe carroll hasn't learned a trick or two in the decade or so since his stint in new england.

hmmmm.... my current coach is 65 and year-to-year?

hell, i'm pretty open-minded right about now.

Pete Carroll is "god" at USC and would be a fool to leave that school.

No thanks.

Great college coach and recruiter, but has not done it in the NFL.

To be a great HC in college you do not necessarily have to be a good in game HC to win, ask Carroll, Mack Brown and Bobby Bowden and Steve Spurrier, none of whom I consider good in game decision makers............Barry Switzer another one.......in college you have to be a great recruiter....in the NFL you have to have a great eye for talent and you have to be a very good in game coach.
