I don't get that either. If he would have had a successful history of playing safety somewhere that would be different. Just because somebody doesn't work out at CB and they can run doesn't make them a S.

I agree 10000%. I'm sick of hearing all this talk about how if Pete Hunter had switched to FS, he'd be starting for us this year.

I say BS. That's because Pete Hunter is BS.

If he was a starting caliber FS, then he'd be on a roster somewhere ... even as a #2 or #3. But he's NOT.

That shows me he's not worth bunk ... and why are we even having a discussion on him???

Hunter at least had the physical tools to play the position. Maybe he could do it and maybe he couldn't; we really never got to find out. It is really too bad about the attitude that he presented in the offseason. I would have liked to find out if he could play FS; especially since it is still a point of some concern for us.

Pete Hunter thought he was a starting CB and he almost was. But we brought in Henry and Hunter thought he was too good to move to FS where he could have been quite good. So he got released by the Cowboys and then picked up by the Jets then released before the season. Since then no one has heard from him. He hasn't signed with another team. I wonder why. He showed some potential. I wonder if he is still avialable? I bet he wouldn't mind playing some safety now. We should have signed him instead of Dixon and Lynn Scott. Thoughts? Information on Pete?
