Pete Prisco's Top 100 players

Well would need to see where the other QBs are rated but this might not be so bad.

Wonder who the two are ahead of DeWare are.

We add a top 100 player via FA and another potential one in the draft yet people *****!

Romo's the 10th rated QB behind:

Rodgers
Brady
Brees
Peyton Manning
Big Ben
Stafford
Ryan
Rivers
Eli Manning

Ware is 3rd behind Rodgers and Brady

No way after last year for either stafford, Ryan or rivers.

Ahhh...another one that can only see the icing but not the cake

These ratings are so stupid.

And he basically only put Romo there out of pity because all the people who hate on Romo.

Thanks Pete.

:laugh2:

I'm only going to focus on Matt Ryan being ahead of Tony Romo for a second.

There is literally no justification for anyone to put Matt Ryan ahead of Tony Romo. None. Zero.

Romo's stats and playoff record are better than Ryan's. Ryan is 0-3 in the playoffs and just came off a playoff shutout to the Giants (Atlanta's D scored the only 2 points).

It's simply a difference in perception for the two players. Ryan isn't perceived to be a choker because his failures are ones that nobody really cares about... because nobody really cares about the Falcons outside of Georgia. Romo, meanwhile, plays for the Cowboys.

I can't believe people have such a hard time understanding this and being able to put their perceptions into proper perspective, at least when creating a list of top players. Shame on you, Prisco.

Well, Matt Ryan is almost always flush in the face so he looks mad at all times.............

Guess that's worth a lot in Pete's eyes.

Don't forget Philip Rivers #20.

Unreal.

Interesting that your handle is TheSport78 and Tony's ranking is 78. I smell a conspiracy! :)

How in the blue blazes is Brandon Carr better than Romo? I'm pumped that he's on the team but come on...

Prisco has spoken. Let the forum revolt for what displeases them and ignore anyone that may be overrated.

Surprised to see we got 5 Cowboys on the list; only 3 teams did better with 6 players each.

Glad to see Ware getting the accolades he so richly deserves; same goes for Witten. Good to see that Carr is ranked so high & absolutely thrilled Presco include Tyron Smith along with his assessment Smith will be the next big LT in the game.

Most of us believe Romo should be ranked higher--certainly better then Rivers, Ryan, etc. Can't understand why Rivers gets a pass because of injuries on his team while Romo also faced injuries (2 starting WRs consistently injuried, interior OL a disaster, etc.) and no leeway given to him. At least Prisco put him in the 70s.

Other fools, including NFL players, don't rank Romo highly because any mistakes he makes as the Dallas Cowboy QB are held against whereas Rivers overcomes so many problems, etc. I guess in Prisco's view the QB (Rivers) carries the team despite injuries whereas Romo doesn't carry the team; didn't both teams end up with similar records 8-8.

Hopefully next year Romo gets ranked much higher where he should be do to our going deep in the playoffs. Also hopefully we can add another Cowboy to this list--CB Morris Claiborne.

You can't really put too much stock into these "Top 100 Player" ratings. How can you possibly say someone is better than another when they play totally different positions? Teams would trade the 3rd best OG for the 7th best QB in a heartbeat. The best ratings are position-by-position, and even then they aren't accurate because they can't account for 1) injuries, 2) breakout players, 3) rookies, 4) slumps.

Here is what he says about Ryan:

He's done a lot of good things in the regular season, but it's time he wins a playoff game.

He has Ryan at 48, with Romo at 78. :lmao2:

Not if they have the 6th best QB already on their roster. ;)

Top 100 lists are fun, people need to stop taking them so damn seriously.

How's that?

It's easy to just dismiss him at times, but Romo deserves to be on this list. He might be the most picked-on player in the NFL.
