29. Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis Rams: He had his breakout season in 2006 and the Rams expect even more. He's also a great pass-catcher out of the backfield.

Anyone what to put Jones in this slot?

Or anywhere close for that matter?

Oh man. Lets not even get started on past Parcells drafts. Its 2007 with the Wade Phillips "family", lets move on.

You seem caught up in the Philly thing and the injury last year, along with the circus that comes with TO. Comparing him to guys 6 years younger is a bit unfair as to who you would want on your team, cause of course people will always pick the younger guy.

But right now, without thinking about age, and just potential production for this year, there are few that can hold a candle to TO.

No, I'm caught up in PERFORMANCE.

In defining "top 3" I focus on performance and the player's arc. TO is clearly on the downside of his arc. He'll be productive but he's not going to bust out those eye popping #s as he had in the past unless he bucks the strong trend we see with players -- as they get older they get worse. Compare that to a younger player like Smith who is on the upside of his arc - he's going to put up those eye-popping mid-career number that great WRs put up -- and he's got the potential to do that for several years.
