Does the NFL care about infidelity?
does the NFL care about legality? Is Denver under a different rule?
NOPE

legality should not be the barometer. cheating on a spouse is legal, but I find that a huge character flaw.
I believe we all have character flaws. I have yet to meet a person without them.

I wouldn't see how you could really say smoking pot is a character flaw outside of someone breaking the law to do it. You could say it's stupid, and I certainly wouldn't argue, but I don't think stupidity is a character flaw. Stupid people can have great character, and vice versa.
He failed a drug test... but if I remember correctly pot stays in your system for a while... who is to say he didn't take it in Colorado or Washington?
He actually should have apologized for the comment in it's totality, even if the guy smokes weed it doesn't mean he has character flaws. Marijuana will be legal in all 50 states within the next 10 years.

Smoking weed isn't the problem. Smoking weed right before a drug test you know is coming? I can understand why some would consider that a character flaw. I mean, even Gregory himself said he has immaturity issues.
The World is changing in a way I never thought possible in my lifetime.
I suffer from Diabetes and had a stroke and brain operation in'12 that nearly killed me.
I was in the hospital for 6 months recovering and when I came out..I was on 17 meds twice a day just to survive.
Its left me permanently disabled and the side effects of my meds leave me unable to walk without extreme dizziness as I am on 4 blood pressure meds to reduce stroke risk.
After enduring the first year out of the hospital and constantly asking my doctors to dial back my meds..they refused.
Finally a friend asked me if I used marijuana?
I said no..not since trying it in college.
He brought me some and I tried it and it was pretty amazing.
I immediately had improvement in my ability to walk, smoothing out my stride and removing the neuropathy pain I was suffering. It also removed the intense nausea I experienced taking my daily meds.
I told that to my doctors and they all said it has unpredictable results when combined with my prescriptions and to be careful and limit whatever I do if I experience side effects.
To date..just the munches.
I think it's insane to make illegal something so obviously beneficial.
The day is near where all the guys in jail on dope charges will be freed and no longer will people be persecuted for it.
Stop the needless lies and false information and tell the public the truth.
Over The age of 21should be legal and medical use in Texas should be allowed.
And suspensions of my favorite athletes using weed for pain management needs to end.
Off my soapbox.
An immature college kid qualifies as a character flaw? Who knows how long before the last time he smoked, could be over a month. Maybe he wasn't thinking. He was careless... he is a kid...
Somewhere Gregory is clapping

We often hear how journalists/columnists never apologize for what they write. King apologizes for describing Gregory's issues as "character flaws."
Kudos to him. http://mmqb.si.com/2015/05/06/nfl-draft-jameis-winston-frank-clark-randy-gregory-peter-king/
